Last time I visited, I was able to exchange a counter service meal for 3 snacks, what other options are there? Are 2 counter service meals equal to one sit own meal?

You can't exchange counter service credits for table service credits.

According to www.mousesavers.com:
"In the past, unofficially, you could usually use table service or quick service credits for snacks. However, this is explicitly prohibited in the 2013 rules.

Regarding the snack credit conversion there does not seem to be a set policy. Some folks have reported being able to convert QS credits to snacks (sometimes one-to-one, sometimes one-to-two, sometimes one-to-three). The only successful reports have been at the resort food courts, but lately it seems that even the resorts are more often than not saying no or that you have to create a meal to use the QS credit (i.e., you can get a drink and a dessert and skip the entree).

I personally saw someone told this year that they could not use a CS credit for snacks at a resort, they did not like it one bit and started yelling about Disney changing the rules with no notice. I'm not aware that the 3 snacks thing was ever a rule, it was just something that some of the food courts did for guests.

This makes me concerned. We're on the 1 snack, 1 CS, 1 TS meal per day plan. We have plans for only ONE sit down, TS meal, which is at Brown Derby, so it will use 2 credits. We really only got the plan so we wouldn't have to budget for food and I don't want to waste all that time at sit down meals. We planned to use our TS credits for CS credits and everything I'd read said we could. As long as you were going down, it wouldn't be a problem.

So how much grief am I gonna get for trying to use a TS credit at a CS in October?

Of course, in the long run, this is just here to cause me stress I don't really need, lol.

None. The only thing in question is using a QS as a snack credit. Using a TS as a QS is fine and no issue.

Just to throw out there, if you're doing the DDP and very few TS meals you will more than likely lose money. You may want to look at the QSDP or even putting money aside on gift cards to budget going OOP.

I was going to suggest the QSDP as well and pay for Brown Derby OOP. What you end up paying her night and per credit, you would come out on top just paying OOP.

Thank you both. I was just thinking the same thing. We're going to get free dining tho....so it doesn't make a difference does it? I mean that plan is what "came" with the package.

I've never done the dining plan before. Thanks for helping me out.

Oh, FD is different then. Since you aren't buying the credits you aren't really losing money! FD does mean you're paying full price on the room rate. If a room discount comes out I might see what works better for you, but I've seen FD be the typical winner in mods and values.
