When I made my reservation thru my AAA agent he sent me a 2012 Dining Plan PDF brochure.

In that brochure (it not the Deluxe one) it says I'm entitled to have for the TS An Appetizer, Entrée, Dessert and Drink...

If I check on the WDW site I'm not entitled to the Appetizer...

Anything I can do?:confused3

I've used both the Deluxe DP (DDP) and the DP and an appetizer was given with the deluxe, but not the regular DP. I would try calling and see what they say. I think maybe it was a miscommunication from your TA? Couldn't hurt to see if they can explain it or will choose to honor it (if it's their mistake). Good luck.:wizard:

There was a misprinted batch of brochures awhile ago that listed the app as included. They have fixed the typo and since printed several more batches. It sounds like you got one from that run (and likely, the TA was supposed to destroy those misprinted ones and did not).

No apps are included in the DDP. Even the kids' "appetizers" aren't really traditional appetizers and the wording has been changed on those for future plans.

At the top of the Disney Restaurants Forum is a Sticky called "2012 Dining Plan Prices and Brochure (BROCHURE REVISED 4/25/12)." At the bottom of Post #1 is a link to the official 2012 Disney Dining Plan Brochure (pdf). No appetizer is included in regular Dining Plan in 2012. I'm not sure what info your TA furnished you. It was many years ago that the regular plan included appetizer, and also tip! But those days are long-gone.

My TA doesn't seem to 'care' about it.
Should I call WDW directly?

Look down at the bottom of the brochure, on the last page. There should be a printing date on it.

This is the most recent brochure.

Scroll down to the end of the PDF. At the bottom you will see the numbers 42512. That is the printing date. If the printing date on your brochure is before that (the misprinted ones had a date in March so the first number would probably be 3) then you do not have the current, up to date brochure. The 4/25 brochure does not list an appetizer as a regular entitlement.

Appetizers are generally not included with the regular DDP. There are ways to get them (usually ordering from a special fixed price menu at certain restaurants), but they will not be included with every TS meal.

Calling Disney won't help because you didn't make the reservation directly with them. Your TA owns the reservation so you'll need to talk to him because only his agency has the details of your res.

As others have said, the brochure your TA sent you is an outdated one which should have been discarded by the agency. To cover themselves I'm sure Disney has included some wording about being able to change the terms of the plan, etc.

Yup, amongst other things...

DDP Brochure said:
Operating hours, menus, entertainment, Characters, Disney Dining Plan locations, components and terms are subject to change without notice.
In this case, it's mainly the "components" portion. Granted, they didn't really change, since the initial thing is a misprint, but it should still cover them.

I'm assuming you already called the TA (from the line that they just don't care). At this point, other than complaining to their supervisor (if they even have one), there's little to no recourse other than to avoid them in the future, suggest that your friends avoid them in the future (note, this may likely just be that AAA office, or even that particular agent, so keep that in mind as well), and check to see if the deal you got through them (or even a better one) is available through Disney themselves. If it is, you may be able to book it through Disney, denying the TA of the sale. (Granted, most of this is more due to the attitude of they didn't care about giving you wrong info vs. the info itself.) (I can also be pretty vindictive :p)

Keep in mind there's also a difference between them actively pushing the sale based on the app being included vs. just having misprinted info around.

I also booked (4/20/12) my trip with AAA and the 2012 Dining Plan brochure has an appetizer, entree, dessert and drink listed. Guess our local AAA office has the misprinted brochures also.
