Just wondering if you are on the adult basic dining plan and you do not like a dessert they have, is it allowed to order a smaller kids dessert instead.
For example, could you get the small kids sundae cup at Tony's instead of Tiramasu, etc., (wondering for anywhere, and not just at tony's, although, I am wondering there).

Whether or not substitutions will be allowed on DDP will depend on the restaurant. It has been noted that restaurants that are not owned by Disney are much stricter on dining plan allotments because they must be ordered and designated a certain way for the restaurant to receive its reimbursement from Disney for the dining plan order. Tony's is owned by Disney so you won't run into that, and it's just going to depend on what your server says.

Never had an issue ordering dd a kids dessert instead of adults. Although she has been an 'adult' at Disney for a couple of trips she hates cream and much prefers kid's desserts. We have eaten many places and they have always subbed ice-cream or similar for her :)

At CS she has subbed many desserts for the fruit cup too but this has not happened at all venues.
