I just realized the park hours are posted for our wedding in May. We are having our DP in Epcot the night before the wedding and there is EMH that night from 9-12. I think I've read on here before that our guests will be able to stay in the park after the DP for EMH. Can anyone confirm this is true?? This will be so much fun if so! :goodvibes

First of all - lucky you. I was wishing that was the case when we had our DP in Epcot in November 2008. I have also heard that guests can stay if there are EMH. Not sure how they would work that. Our DP was in the UK and everyone had wristbands that were given out at the wedding so they could get into the parks without a ticket. Our guests met a CM at the front of Epcot and all walked in to our DP location. When the party was over they were not walked out - everyone could just leave when they wanted to so I see no reason why they could not stay for EMH.

Back then you did not have to show a room key (I don't think) for EMH but you do now if you want to go on any rides or enter any attractions for EMH, so as long as your guests are staying on Disney property and have a key with them there should be no reason they could not stay. How are they all getting to your DP? I am sure Carrie or someone with more recent knowledge will chime in here but I just wanted to give you my thoughts.

I asked my planner this very question because our dessert party is during EMH and she did say that those that have to be escorted in because they don't have a ticket will also need to be escorted out once the party is over but if they have a ticket they can stay. I'm not sure how they will remember who had a park ticket and who didn't unless they ask to see it but we'll see how things go. All I know know is that i am going straight to bed after that long day. ;)

Our guests were escorted in to the UK Lower from the front of Epcot. Everyone had wristbands. Everyone got there about 30 minutes before the DP was supposed to start and the CM that escorted them in told everyone they could walk around the UK area prior to the DP. I know some went to the back to watch the British Invasion and some went in the shops. No one escorted our guests out. I guess it all depends on the CM. My DH and I and about 6 of our guests entered through the International Gateway and no one escorted us out either and we were in our bridal outfits.

I could see if they were bused in and had to be bused out but if everyone is walking in it would be nice if they could stay for EMH.

In Feb. 2008, at my daughters dessert party it happened to be an EMH night.
All of our guests were offered bracelets to wear if they wanted to stay in the park.

I thought that was a great "EXTRA" treat and most guests did stay and had a blast. My son said he got a few strange looks being in tux pants and a vest. A few people thought he worked in the park. LOL
