I was wondering if anybody has stayed at the Doubletree Suites in Downtown Disney. We are cashing in some Hilton Honor points and staying there for three nights for free. We have a 3 adults and two children. Are the suites roomy? Do they have a refriderator, microwave, hair dryer??? Does anyone have any horror stories for this hotel. It feels too easy to just sign up for free. I know it won't be our favorite place Port Orleans, but I am hoping to still get a disney feel.

Also, found a pretty decent rate for a cousin who is coming up to meet us at the Grosvenor Resort which is across from us. Any comments on that place. The rate was 104.00 a night. Is that good for a standard room?

Any information would be helpful.

We stayed at the DoubleTree DTD in November. After reading numerous negative report's on this board, I was in two mind's whether to still say there.

When we arrived we were totally shocked. It was fantastic.
The suite was large and spotless. In the Living/ dining area were, sofa bed, lounge chair/coffee table, desk & chair, TV, side table, safe, Dining table & 4 chairs, sink, cupboards, Fridge, Microwave, coffee maker and lot's of space. Bedroom area had 2 queen sized bed's, bedside table, tv & unit with 4 large drawers underneath, another set of 6 large drawers, hugh mirror, huge closet, with iron & board, spare bedding, hairdryer, and bathroom had the usual.

To be honest with you we would not hesitate in staying here again. It would be our first choice. To me, because of the size of the place, it had more of a personal touch.

The staff are excellent, nothing was ever a problem for them.

I cant help you with the rates as we had booked a 14 night package
