Hi there, we are headed to Toronto for 3 nights, at the end of August! We are taking our girls to see the Jonas Bros concert. Wondered if anyone knows of any reasonably priced hotels close to the Rogers Centre. It doesn't need to be next door. I am not trying to be picky, but would really like something with a separate bedroom, or a suite type. We have gotten spoiled by them now, and find the kids sleep so much better when they are in a different room to go to sleep. Or does anyone know where I can get discounts for hotels in Toronto.
Thanks in advance!

Our favourite suite hotel in Toronto has been the Cambridge Suites. It's near the Eaton Centre. We love the space.

There's a new Residence Inn by Marriott which is closer to the Rogers Centre. We have a reservation there for early August. It gets great reviews on tripadvisor, so I'm looking forward to giving it a try.

Neither is particularly cheap, but we are willing to spend extra for the separate bedroom. We got a package at the Residence Inn that includes dinner for less than the advertised rate for the room alone (click on packages or something like that on their website).

There have been a lot of downtown T.O. deals come through on travelzoo lately. If you don't get their top 20 deals e-mails, sign up for them on the travelzoo.ca site. I haven't seen any suites, but regular rooms have regularly been available in the $100/night range, which is unheard of for downtown Toronto.

Thanks for the info encinc. Well I wasn't looking for cheap, cheap, cause I knew that wasn't being realisitic.I also agree it is worth the extra money for the room. I don't mind when I can do a package, that includes breakie/dinner. So I will check them out! Thanks

You can Priceline hotels in toronto. We do this sometimes when we have guest coming from out of town (we have a small condo that doesn't fit more that the two of us). We've gotten some really great deals at downtown 4*s this way. Around $60 a night. You can always check on the 'bidding for travel' board... not this site, but if you google it, it'll come right up, to see what hotels have been popping up for people and prices for what dates.

I just have to learn how to use priceline. I am not only booking for me but another family as well. So I want to make sure I do it right! Thanks for the info!

Try this page:

www.wyndhamrewards.com

You can search all Wyndham hotels in the area -- Super 8 / travelodge / hojo / days inn etc.

Enroll and earn wyndham rewards points as well. You can redeem for stays as well.
That might work

Hi Daver, thanks. I actually have a wyndham rewards card. Stayed at Bonnet Creek for 8 nights in Feb, and forget to bring it with me......But I do have th card. I will look into it!

I believe that with Priceline, you're only guaranteed room for two people. I've used them when traveling on my own, but never with the family. Hotwire does allow you to put in more than two people, but I rarely see all suite hotels come up through them. Sometimes you get places like the Quality Inn and Suites, but you're not guaranteed anything more than a basic room.

I wish that there were a good way to get suite-style hotels through the discount hotel sites. We love the extra space and the kitchen in the suites, but it does get rather pricey.

Thanks for the info about Priceline. I would need something for 4 people not 2. I don't want to be even more cramped~!I am glad someone fills in the blanks for me. I have a little while, I just know the prices will start spiking soon with summer rates and such, so want to book it early!
