I was looking for some reccomendations from you guys for some good eats at Downtown Disney.. We are going to get to WDW late in the afternoon so we are planning on just going to DTD that night and walk around and of course shop:banana:   but I don't know of anything good that is on the DDP??:confused3 :confused3

Earl of Sandwich.....best sandwich I have ever had anywhere. If you are on the DDP, they accept that as a QS credit. If you go and the lines are long, don't let that scare you away...the lines moves swifty and we thoroughly enjoyed our sandwiches....even my DDs PB&J was delish :):thumbsup2

The Earl of Sandwich is the LAST place I'd recommend at Downtown Disney. The place is a madhouse, and it has no "Disney Magic" feel to it whatsoever.

Boy, I loved Earl of Sandwich. It was our first time there in April and we all enjoyed it.... Food was excellent, prices were great. If your on DDP, not sure what is covered though...

It was a bit busy, we found a table immediately and had our food within minutes.... Fresh fruit was wonderful, salad cold and crisp...

We love EOS also if you're looking for something easy and quick. Another good place is Planet Hollywood for a sit down meal, great atmosphere, lots of fun!

Two casual dining places that I would recommend:
1. Earl of Sanwich
2. Wolfgang Puck Express

:goodvibes :goodvibes

For an amazing counter service location you can't go wrong with the Earl of Sandwich. If they are busy I noticed their line moves very fast, so it's deceiving. If you want a table service location my vote goes to the Rainforest Cafe.

I agree - we LOVE Earl of Sandwich! The food is yummy. Lines can be long during peak times, but it sounds like you are planning to arrive at an "off" time, so you should be fine. This is more of a casual lunch or quick bite type location. You will like it, but as a previous poster said, there is not any Disney Magic associated. Last March when we were there at lunch, there were locals there who came to eat lunch on their lunch breaks.

Anyway, if you want to sit down and eat a more elegant or civilized meal - as that question here so you get other options, too.

ENJOY!

I love EoS, but I pay OOP for my meals, and I'm not sure it's the best value for your credits.
I (personally) love Planet Hollywood.

House of Blues and Raglan Road both have great food.

HoB does not accept the dining plan but does offer AAA and DVC discounts.

If you're looking for the best value for your dining credits then I'm not sure eating at Earl of Sandwich is going to be the way to go.

WPE and EoS are fantastic CS places, great food, big portions and reasonable prices.

If you're looking for CS, Wolfgang Puck Express is very good :thumbsup2. We make sure we eat there every trip :goodvibes.

For CS, I'd definitely go with Wolfgang Puck Express. Table service food for CS credits. The food there is excellent. I am another poster who would never recommend Earl Of Sandwich. For TS, I recommend Raglan road.:)

I would also recommend Earl of Sandwich! Great sandwiches at great prices! The tomato soup was wonderful as well and oh so many yummy looking deserts to pick from.

Our favorite place at DTD!!

For TS, we like Captain Jack's. The food is good and the service is generally quick.

I also like it because it's been there since the marketplace first opened. There are great water views from a lot of the tables, too.
