Hi, We just returned from there last night. We stayed in Downtown Disney (at the Hotel Royal Plaza). We went to DTD at around lunch time, dropped off the kids at Disney Quest (DS and DD both 15) with plans to meeting them at the door in 3 hours. We walked down to the Marketplace, taking in the shops along the way. When we met up with the kids, they said the lines in Disney Quest were very long. That surprised me, as there wasn't many people outside, and there wasn't a line to get inside. We did some more shopping, then went back to the hotel for awhile. We went back to DTD for dinner, eating at Planet Hollywood, then doing more shopping. There were ALOT more people there at night, than during the day. The parking lot is very large, if you come by car, and there isn't a charge for parking. We didn't go to the Cirque, so I can't help you there. Have a fun trip!

If you're staying at Poly. the best way to get there is to take the car, but you could also take the monorail to TTC and get on a bus. Try going in the morning, it's not crowd at all normally. Also, try giving yourself a few hours, depending on who's with you. I'm seventeen, but i remeber going as a little kid and also going with cousins. The new toy store, kids spend lots of time playing and looking around at everything, it's a big store. and you need to give yourself at least an hour min. for The World Of Disney Store... it's HUGE! and it's crowd most of the time. but yeah, an hour in there and maybe 30 minutes for the toy store. the other stores deserve to be looked at as well, but we've never spent major amounts of time in them. as for Cirque... i haven't done it, but from what i've heard, depending on exactly when you go and what time the show is, give yourself enough time to get in and get settled before and, after, make sure there is time and patience to deal with large crowds at bus stops in it's later in the evening... hope this helps :D

I really enjoyed the HRP, and would stay there again. Depending on what you are looking for though, do you care if you have a balacony that you can walk/sit on? Does the traffic noise bother you? Are you fit enough to take a long walk to the DTD disney area? Will you have a car? We were on the 11th floor, facing south, which was the side of the hotel that faces DTD, however, you are also seeing I-4. It was very noisy with the window opened, in fact sitting by the window, you wouldn't even be able to hear the TV, the traffic noise was that loud, but with the window shut, it wasn't that bad. The view at night was very nice, you could see the fireworks, and the spot lights going across the night sky, plus all of the lights. The Courtyard by Marriott and the Hilton in the Walt Disney World Resort were between the HRP and the DTD area, the same side of the street. The Doubletree Suites were behind the HRP. On the other side of the street, is the Grosvenor Resort, Wyndham Palace Resort and Spa, and the Best Western LBV. The HRP was very clean, and large. The bathroom has a large roman tub, with a phone in bathroom. We didn't eat in the restaurant there, but did have a couple of beers in the lounge. The pool was nice and clean, and the front desk staff was very nice. I would recommend staying in the tower section over the 2 story section however, it looked much nicer. I got a email when I got home from there from HRP, with a $10 a night off coupon for future nights. We got our rate from Travelzoo, 65 a night with free upgrade to deluxe tower room, the 7 a day resort fee was waived, and the third night was free. Have a great time, wish I was going back lol. Any more questions, just ask away.
