Downtown Disney Restaurants and Disney Gift Card

We're going in May and will be receiving the free gift card. Can this be used at the downtown Disney restaurants, specifically T-Rex?

I really don't think so, I wanted to use my at McDonald's but they said they couldn't take it. I believe you can only use them at "disney" restaurants like Fulton's.

Actually Fulton's is run by the Levy Restaurants company and is not disney-owned.

You can only use it at Disney owned restaurants.

I'm not 100% sure this is correct but I seem to remember someone posting that for the places that don't take the disney gift card in downtown you still have the option of having the meal charged back to your room. You can then pay off your room balance at the end of the week with the gift card.

Specifically, T-Rex will take the disney gift card. When you make your ADR it will specifically say if it does not. I have a booking at house of blues and t-rex. HOB states that gift cards are not accpeted. T-Rex does not.

That is correct; I stay at POR and eat at many of the restaurants in DTD. You can charge it back to your room key.

Are you staying onsite? You CAN use your KTTW card at TRex and then pay the room charge at your hotel with the disney gift card

Last summer we made a purchase at the huge Disney store at DTD and recieved a Disney gift card. We then went to T-Rex and used our gift card for that group of restraunts that I brought from home and used the Disney gift card that we just got from the store there. This was in June or Aug. I am thinking it was June. I would definately ask or even make a call.

I used my gift card at T-Rex - twice. That was when they first opened. Haven't been able to get back since. Was planning on using one again in November. Maybe things have changed?

I just called the restaurant and you can use the gift card at T-Rex. That was an easy answer
