What's the current parking situation at DTD? Is there any self parking in front of WoD (parking areas A, B, C, and D)?

Another question - what is the area between the new parking garage and parking area C, D (between entrances 2 and 3)? I can't tell from any map what it is.

And a final question - are they planning another parking garage where parking areas C and D currently are?

There is self-parking in front of WoD but it is very small and fills up very quickly. Moving in and out gets very congested. There is also self-parking in front of Cirque/DisneyQuest and behind Cirque. Evenings and weekends overflow lots are used across the street. Best bet is Disney buses.

The new garage will begin opening Nov 20th to the public, it might be a partial opening. Cast Members are already parking there.

The area between was an additional parking area but much of it is being used for construction equipment area and as the project grew more lots were closed.

parking on sunday was a mess. drove around in circles waiting for someone to leave got lucky after about 4 trips in a circle

Wow, I'll bet those who don't think the AKV parking garage is themed enough are gonna blow a gasket over this one. Yuck. Although if it keeps me from driving in circles for half an hour looking for a spot, I'm happy!

Just back. It's a mess but best bet is enter at what I think was 3 and keep driving right towards marketplace to very last lot (just past Basin). That one usually had a bunch of spots cause most people were looking closer to where you enter. Make sure to keep going until you curve right towards what was entrance 1 (but is now just an exit) and turn left into that lot.

The first parking garage will be open on floors 1-4 by December 1st. Also on December 1st, lots A-G will close as construction begins on the second parking garage which will be closer to the Marketplace. The lots directly in front of the World of Disney store are currently valet parking. The smaller lots in front of Marketplace Co-Op are open until Dec. 1.

We went out there Sunday night and the walkways near the Lego store were open and a new small park area was open. It was still congested but better than it was!

It's beyone heinous. Bus there if you can. Between trying to get into a lot and find a parking spot, I sat there for 55 minutes on Friday night. I've never seen anything like it.

Does anyone know when this construction mess will be finished? We have a trip in April 2015. I've planned dtd around our schedule so we end up getting there in the morning when they open so hopefully to avoid parking nightmares. But just curious when the insanity will end lol
