We've never been to Downtown Disney. Is it somewhere we would want to go as a family? Anyplace specific which should scope out? We are not big shoppers but I heard there is a neat Lego store.

Down Town Disney is a must do for us each year. We just enjoy the atmosphere of it. The Lego shop it really neat. They also have some life size models displayed in the area all made from legos. We also enjoy going into the World of Disney store. I know that you said that you are not big shoppers, but it's worth walking through. The Christmas store is neat too.

There is a small train & a marry go round there too for the kids. It's just a real neat place to go to relax.

We also love the atmosphere of it. We also love walking in the giant World of Disney Store and the Christmas store.

DH and I also always split a sundae from Ghiradellis ice cream shop...YUM!

Ooohh, that does sound yummy!

DH and DD13 are planning to go while I am at Cinderella's Happily Ever After dinner with DD4 and DD10. I wasn't sure I would be missing out on anything but it looks like we are going to have to make a special trip (at least for the ice cream :lmao:).

We went to Downtown Disney on our last trip in 2004, and loved it! DH loved Lego shop and we both loved World of Disney. I am also looking forward to revisiting Basin, a store that sells soaps, etc. It smells heavenly in there!

Hi there - we are def going to DTD, from what I have heard its a must see. I believe there is a new store (in market place?) where you can design your own t-shirt, if thats something you would be interested in? something I am planning anyways!:goodvibes

World of Disney, Once Upon A Toy, and the Lego store are must-hits for us. There's a nice playground outside of the Lego store as well. Also Goofy's Candy and Ghiradelli.

Even if you don't eat there, walk through/around T-Rex. It's a really cool concept for a restaurant.

I really look forward to eating at T-Rex! A friend of mine went and said it was awesome!

We loved that atmosphere as well!

Our favorite was the Ghiradelli ice cream shop. :rotfl:

I'm looking forward to trying the Characters in Flight...aside from the shopping....my plan is to spend a quiet Sunday afternoon at DTD...

We enjoyed DTD more than I thought we would, definitely worth a trip! Don't miss the Lego store or Goofy's Candy Company. There are lots of good places to grab a bite to eat too.

I just recently read about a $10 and Under store at DTD. Anyone know where it is exactly? Has anyone been there and is it worth going to? What sort of things do they have? I thought it might be a good place to pick up gifts for the families who will take care of our pets and gardens while we are gone.

I am pretty sure the 10 or less shop is near the Goofy' candy company. If you are getting off the boats, go up the stairs take a right at the first shopping strip and it is in the middle of those shops.

I haven't seen the TRex restaurant yet and definitely want to!
