How can you find the cheapest rate? By internet, by calling the hotel directly or calling the 800 number?

try both the internet and calling the hotel directly

the $20 rate that the Marriott had was only good if you called the hotel directly.

I have never heard of their best rate being offered on the toll free number. that doesn't mean that it does not happen - I am just not aware of it happening.

some one once posted all the best discount hotels sites - I will try to find it.

here it is

if you have the time - try to look at all of them on the same day - these rates can change on a daily basis.

if you see a great deal take it - it might not be there the next day.

if you are going to spend around $80 a night for a hotel and are going to be there for a week then go look at skyauction for any of their timeshares. there will stay in the min/max 7 days. read the post carefully - take out the $195 (resort fee), $15 (skyauction fee), also they seem to be adding tax so take out for a 12% tax from what you are goto bid.

don't go for the 1 to 14 days these can be timeshares - but they are being treated like a hotel - so the extra charges are on a daily basis - not a weekly.

I just stayed 5 days at the Hilton in Downtown Disney for $56/night - thru Priceline. The hotel is very clean and has a great location. I would definately stay there again.
