Downtown Disney Hotels Shuttle

Some friends of ours are heading down to WDW in a couple of weeks and asked us for some tips, knowing of our obsession with Disney. They are staying at a DTD hotel (Royal Plaza) and having never stayed at any hotel without official Disney transportation. I wanted to know what anyone who had stayed at a DTD hotel experience with the shuttle was. Any info would be much appreciated! Thanks so much!

In February 2008 my best friend and I stayed at the Royal Plaza and were happy with the bus situation. The bus was there every 30 minutes as scheduled 99% of the time. The longest we had to wait past the designated time was 10 minutes which wasn't bad at all. Also, if memory serves correct, the same bus also stopped at the Hilton and the Regal Sun Resort but it was never crowded to the point that we didn't have seats!

BTW, the beds are RP are the.BEST.ever!
