We are looking to book a hotel in Downtown Disney (per suggested by CM) for one night. We want a reasonable price with a great pool for one night. Please help! Are there any maps or lists of hotels available?

check in Oct 17th around 11pm

we've been looking online and it seems many of the hotels want a minimum of 2 nights

at this point, we're desperate and will take anything!

We simply did not think things through when we booked. We def need this extra night...esp with a 4yr old. :(

We found a hotel in Valdosta, Ga a couple of weeks ago and booked it, but we've since considered that we're going to have a very long, full day on Saturday 17th and it's wisdom to grab a room and sleep rather than load up the truck and drive for hours.
*sigh*
But since there's either no availability or minimum of 2 nights, I suppose we'll be driving a few hours and checking into a hotel in GA around 3am.

WE ARE KICKING OURSELVES RIGHT NOW!

Why does it have to be a DTD hotel? There are several different Marriott's ( Courtyard,, Fairfield Inn, Marriott) on S Vineland that's only a few minutes from WDW. Can't hurt to check them out.

You are driving - DON'T stay at Downtown Disney hotel, you can do much better just outside!

I'll look at some and add here ...

Buena Vista Suites via mousesavers comes up $99 plus $10 resort fee. Two room suite, and breakfast in included. Minutes outside DTD and easy shot into property not going through DTD.

Just down the road is Hampton Inn Lake Buena Vista SOUTH, $113 with AAA. Breakfast.

Holiday Inn Lake Buena Vista (outside DTD) comes up via Mousesavers $84 plus $15 Resort Fee.

I'm going to move this to the Orlando Hotels board, where the DTD and offsite hotels are discussed. :)

If you want DTD, I suggest the B Resort or Doubletree. I would look at Mousesavers for deals. However, as pp mentioned you would be better off booking farther outside Disney and getting a much better deal.
