Just wanted to give kudos to new member Thommy on his Downtown Disney podcast (yup, i've fallen a few weeks behind!).
Thommy, the info you gave was fantastic. I love that Behind The Scenes, former cast member POV and the historical facts you brought up were very cool.

Agreed! It was a great show, I learned so much!

I spent most of my formative years at Disney in the 90s, and after a too-long hiatus I was pretty surprised by the changes in the DTD area when I came back in 2008. I was a teenager when I visited PI and never really got a chance to enjoy it (though I LOVED the comedy club, really wish that was still around!)...and the Disney Marketplace was pretty sad back then, weird little shops that were almost always deserted. The new Downtown Disney seems like a great improvement to me, but after listening to this segment I do see that it could be so much more.

My daughter and I also enjoyed listening to your segment. She was a CP at DQ during the spring of 2011 and is very familiar with the area. We were sad to see that not much progress is being made to revitalize the PI area.
