Hi! We'll be at Disney at the end of April and are staying in the Downtown Disney area. On the day we arrive we usually like to eat there, preferably at Fulton's Crab House. But it's all booked up and I don't know where else in Downtown Disney is good.

In addition my husband's aunt and uncle who live in FL are going to meet us. I could not change any of my other ADRs in the parks to add them to our ressies, I figured the least I could do was include them for dinner on our first night!

So where can a party of 6 (2 DDs, 6 & 9) enjoy a nice dinner in Downtown Disney?:confused3

Rainforest Cafe is neat for the kids if you've never been to one - a bit on the loud side but it's not on the DDP.

We loved Ragland Road and it is on the DDP. It is not a quick meal - everything seems to be made when you order it (bonus in my book) but that extends the dining time quite a bit. My DD is 11 and my DS is 6 and they both enjoyed it so much they want to go back in Nov. Although in the interest of full disclosure DS did fall asleep - not quite in his plate but close!:rotfl:

For counter service the Earl of Sanwich is great too! Good luck and have fun!

We love Wolfgang Puck Cafe. The fish dishes and key lime pie are yum!!

Another vote for Wolfgang Puck Cafe. I know the DIS reviewers had terrible service but it was quite the opposite experience when we were there in September '07. Our server was fantastic and really interactive with our kids, 7 and 9 at the time. The restaurant was modern, the food was delicious, and the service was really outstanding. I certainly didn't expect a server at a more upscale place to be so entertaining to my kids but he really made them feel comfortable there. It was not the type of experience where it was too fancy a place for kids and it is on our list again for this September.

Earl of Sandwich is also awesome. We eat here usually twice each trip, with once being just before we hit the road for the long drive home. That way, we have leftovers to eat rather than stopping for a long meal. Delicious, HUGE sandwiches and very tasty smoothies.

Cannot comment on Raglan Road as we've not done that one yet.

Rainforest Cafe is completely skippable. Completely mediocre food for hugely inflated prices. HTH!

Raglan Road is GREAT, plus they have entertainment.

Wolfgang Puck Cafe was a very big surprise for us last year - excellent!

We enjoyed Cap N Jack's. Even the non seafood eaters liked it there. My brother got the pot roast and it was delicious.

If you are looking for counter service we enjoyed Wolfgang Puck Express and the Earl of Sandwich. We liked this better then any of the counter services in the park.

Nobody has mentioned Portobello Yacht Club which was just recommended to me by a friend - any good?

Earl of Sandwich or Wolfgang Puck Express. We will definitely be doing one of these on our next trip. :thumbsup2

Kevin from the podcast has been twice since last summer and raved about it both times. I've never eaten there, but his reviews have convinced me to add it to my ADR list for this fall.

Before I found out about Earl of Sandwich, I never would have thought I'd be looking forward to eating a sandwich on my vacation. ;)

A vote for WolfGang Puck's here.

My DS 7 had chicken tenders which were delicious! I thought the food was fantastic. I had the macadamia nut crusted chicken with roasted garlic mashed potatoes. I am hungry just thinking about it again! I am making an ADR for our Aug trip.

I would go with the Rainforest Cafe or the Earl of Sandwich. Both those locations are amazing in their own special way, so can't go wrong with either one.
