DH and I will be staying at SSR for the very first time this July. We're not too familiar with that area since we always stay at the BWV (DVC members) and only occasionally visited DTD.

Can anyone recommend some good restaurants there?

Thanks!

WolfGang Pucks is my top choice. I like all their options... they have an express (quick service) restaurant on both the Marketplace Side and the West Side which is REALLY good. They are not your typical quick service, everything is cooked to order, they have wood fired pizzas, rotisserie chicken, sandwhiches, salads... it is really a good variety. WolfGang Puck's also has a Full service restaurant on the West Side, we have eaten there once and really liked it, but the Express meets our needs so we usually opt for that. Also Fulton's Crab House is another great option. I also like Rainforest, but prefer to go to the one at AK (less crowded).

We are also DVC members, Saratoga is our home resort. We really love it there. You share the boat with Old Key West, so another option would be to go over there and try Olivia's Cafe. Lunch and Dinner there are good as well, and they usually aren't very crowded :)

Last year we went to Fulton's Crab house. It's the big ferry type boat you see docked. Very yummy but I believe it was about $125.00 for two of us for dinner. I thought the prices were a bit much. If you do decide to visit request a room outside. You can sit and watch all of dtd with the pretty lights and hear the music.

We also did Rain Forest Cafe. Always one of ds favorite. Good food and he just loves it when the animals come alive.

Also hit Mc'Donald's but i'm sure you'd can skip the review on that one. :rotfl2:

Thank you all for the suggestions! I'm especially interested now in going over to Olivia's. I didn't realize we share the boat with OKW also and I've never been there. I'm really getting excieted now. I've never been to SSR and we just purchased a "few extra points" there. :thumbsup2

If you are in the mood for sandwiches- highly recommend Earl of Sandwich.

I second the "Earl of Sandwich"

They have a great selection of sandwiches and salads and desserts. Portions are on the large side. I would say it was the best dinner of our last trip.

Fulton's Crab house, last week had the 2lb lobster stuffed---OUTSTANDING!

We liked Fulton's Crab House for lunch.

For a quick meal, the Earl of Sandwich is great!

We also enjoy House of Blues for a longer sitdown meal.

Fulton's is the best and we do love the sandwiches at Earl of Sandwich. We've never eaten at Wolf Gang Puck's but I really think we'll have to try it. We always try to try differant places to eat every time we go.
