Downtown Disney DDP Question

We are looking at where we can eat the first night we are there besides the hotels. We won't use our tickets until the next morning. Can we still go to Downtown Disney?

You don't need park admission of any kind to go to Downtown Disney. But you should also note that most restaurants there don't accept the dining plan.

We usually go to DD our first night too. You don't need to use a park admission to go to DD.

There are many restaurants, but not all of them are on the dining plan. I know for sure that Planet Hollywood is on the plan, and there is usually little or no wait.

I think you can check the list on Disney's website. They will tell you which are on the dining plan.

Capt Jacks & Raglan Road are both on the plan. I had looked at both of those for the night that we are doing Disney Quest. I have never eaten anywhere at DTD, but for CS, I hear that Earl of Sandwich is awesome. It's on the plan, too.

If you're not planning to use dining plan credits, remember that the Magic Your Way package includes a $15 credit for Planet Hollywood at DTD. PH must really be hurting for business!

I'd say actually close to half the places in DTD are on plan, more so if you spring for Platinum or Premium.

CS: Earl of Sandwich, Wolfgang Puck Express, Cookes of Dublin
TS: Raglan Road, Planet Hollywood, Captain Jack's, Wolfgang Puck Cafe

For Premium and Platinum, add:

TS: Fulton's, Portobello, Rainforest Cafe, T-Rex

I've heard good things about Raglan Road, and I thoroughly enjoyed Wolfgang Puck Cafe.

Oh yes... yes you can.

We had 9 snack credits left at the end of the week, which were all "spent" at Goofy's on our way out of town...
