Downtown disney check in and Magic express

I was thinking of doing the downtown check in with Virgin, heading back to the hotel and going to Animal Kingdom for the last day, going back to catch the magic express from Pop Century. Has anyone done this?

I do the downtown check in and then go to Typhoon lagoon its very close by

Confused!!!!

If you are going to do ME, why would you want to waste time doing check in at Downtown Disney?

I would advise against it, the reason being if you have already checked in for the return flight and got boarding passes from Downtown Disney, then you will waste a lot of time at the airport, as ME like to pick you up at least 2 hours and 45 before your flight. That could be disney time instead.

I hadn't thought of it like that, so no DTD check in for me then I have a PE seat back so will the check in at the airport be quicker.
