Downtown Disney and Driving

We may check out downtown Disney for a bit in the afternoon (Wednesday) and then head to Epcot afterwards. I've heard driving is a mess now with construction. Is parking really that bad? And/or us there a specific spot to park?

Hi, I drove there and arrived a few minutes before 10 am today and it took two rotations of the lights to get into the parking area. I left at 1230 or so and the lots seemed full.

If you have lots of patience and confident of your driving and parking ability then go ahead lol. Seriously though try to go in the morning and if the afternoon is a must as you have posted stay in the left lane on the main road going in. Or do what some people did and park at a resort. (if you can get away with it ) and take Disney transport.

Thanks. Think we'll find an outlet mall then . DH really wants to do some shopping. Downtown sounds like a real pain.
