Im sorry if this is the wrong forum to post this in, but I thought it was the best match.

My DW and I are planning on seeing La Nouba this next Disney trip and was wondering if anyone had any tips for seating? I priced out 2 seats in a specific category, but when I went to check out it wasn't showing me a seat number. Is it first come first serve per section? Has anyone seen this show? I tried to run a search on "Nouba" and "Soleil" but the search didn't return any results :confused3 Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Brian

Here is a seating chart......

All Cirque shows are fabulous. I have seen Cirque 3 times, and am sure I will see it again. Most anybody who has seen any Cirque show, La Nouba included, will say the second level seating is preferred over the lower level. This is because much of the show is up high above the seats and the lower level has to look up (sore necks) to see that. Also, many thing on the walkway between lower and upper level, lower has to turn around to see, upper just looks.

I think best seats are in the 203, 204 and 205 sections.

We saw this show when we were there in 2003. All I can say is AWESOME!! My DH and I have seen numerous Circ shows, we live outside NYC and we just loved this one. Hated the kid in the seat behind me that kept asking is mom questions and kicking my seat all night but I did love the show. We were in the center stage section lower section, I would say just a little above middle and didn't feel we had to look up all the time or were upset to turn around and see what few things went on in the aisle. In the seating chart I would say section 103 about row F a few seats in.

You will enjoy it if you go!!!

Wow, thats great info. I was looking at getting the front and center seats. I wanted to know how I would be able to get the front row, boy would I have regretted that! So now I guess we are looking in the 103 H or 204 AA section. I have 4 questions:

How did you purchase your tickets?

Were you able to request specific seats to the show?

Why are the center seats in 103 H, seats 9-13 outlined?

And, we are probably going to go to the 9pm show on either a Tuesday or a Thursday. I am assuming the later show would be less crowded. Is this the right way to think? We would be going the first week of June.

Thanks again for the great info!

We have sent in second tier, front and center and we have also sat in first tier, front and center. All of us (there were 8 both times) agreed that the front row was far superior to the second tier.

Many people say that second tier is better but how many of them have actually sat in that front row? I know we have and and it was amazing because the performers intereracted with us and those on the second tier could not see that.

And we did not leave with sore necks. Not at all.

I would call and order the tickets online. They will give you the seat numbers and section online. However, I called today and they cant choose specific seats or so I was told. But they will tell you what section, seats etc for each price level. Then I would suggest just calling back if you dont like the seats they give you. I didnt like the seats I got today so I called back later to book and the seats were different. Also, I dont know why they stopped giving out your seat numbers etc online. I went to the show in August 07 and when I booked online it told me my specific seats. Lastly, if you will be in Disney beforehand or know someone who will you could always have them try the box office if you wanted certain seats or sections. I am leaving in a few days for a trip and was going to try this as well to see if its possible as I too wanted specific seats. Hope this helps and sorry for the rambling.

You will love the show though regardless of where you sit. I am planning on seeing it twice this year.

So how did ya manage to get 8 people in the front row? Huh, huh, speak, speak!!

THX!

I love La Nouba. It is my favorite Cirque show. I've seen it many times and have loved it each time. You can see pictures and video from the show and read about the acts at http://www.cirquedusoleil.com
Select La Nouba from the shows.

My favorite acts are the Diabolos (little girls juggling spools with a string) and the Powertrack/trampoline finale. The show is pure joy in my mind and worth the expense.

Thanks for all the great replies and links. Im sure we will enjoy the show. Im sure any Circus de Soleil would be amazing.

Do you guys remember how long the show runs? I was thinking of booking some dinner reservation at Epcot after the show during an EMH. The show is 9 and the park closes at midnight. Would that be enough time for the show and dinner?

Thanks one again!

it is about 90 minutes. It's great. I've seen it twice, once from section 103, about row f, I didn't think it was too close. You could really see the detail about what was going on on stage. Next time, I was over in 206, row DD. Not ideal since we were off center, but really not bad, and you had a great view of the parade when they enter the theater.

I think running back to epcot would be tight. It would be after 11 by the time you got back there. I'd eat before, or I'd go to Raglan Road, the band usually plays until 1 am.

I'm confused! :confused3

Where is second tier front and center and first tier front and center. If I'm looking at the map, second tier can only see 3 on each side. I'm looking to get tickets for December and was thinking of getting section 103 up near the top & center or Section 204 category 1. Hope you can help!

2nd tier front and center was row DD in section 204, which is actually 4th row up but since we were center, most of us had no one sitting in front of us.

And how did I snag those 8 front row center seats in section 103, row A? I guess I was the first one who had called--I bought way in advance. My DH was furious that I took those seats because he had liked the second tier but after we went, he said he'd definitely take front row again in a heartbeat. Plus our youngest DS (24 at the time) was selected to be the audience volunteer and the rest of us had a blast making fun of him.

We've seen the show 3 times and have been seated in different areas each time. Honestly, the far away seats were just as good as the closer ones. I
think I even prefer the seats that are further back because the overall view
of the stage is better. Enjoy, it's AWESOME.

Thanks once again for all of the help. We decided to go with the 6pm show on June 5th. I purchased the tickets on Ticketmaster because I was able to select the seats. We picked up section 103 row B Seats 5&6. We figured if we went to the 6 o'clock show we would be able to make dinner reservations in Epcot for around 8:30-9:00 (EMH PM).

My next question is this. Since our reservation fall right on top of Illuminations we would like to eat at restaurant with the best view of the show. I know a few countries have outside seating, can you see the Illuminations from these restaurants?

Thanks AGAIN,

Brian

I can tell you this: I wouldn't waste my money on the more expensive seats.

In December, 2006, DH, DD and I sat in Cat. 3 Section 206 and we were 2 rows from the back and we LOVED our seats! A lot of the action is in the air anyway and though the people down below had to strain their necks to look up, we didn't.

It isn't a very big theater, so the actors aren't really that far away and you could still see everything just fine.

DH and I kept wondering why those people down below paid so much more than we did when it wasn't necessary.

We saw it on Halloween night last year. Bought tickets late and here was the offer. Pay for Tier 2 tickets (around $90) and sit on row GG, or pay for Tier 3 tickets ( around $65) and sit on row JJ. That is 3 rows apart!! WE got the Tier 3 and the view was great. I would not want to sit on the very ends, but otherwise, every seat has a good view. There was hardly anybody in the entire section in front of us, but we were fine and did not even bother moving down 10+ rows.
