Downton Abbey

I like Mrs Hughes a lot too. She and Mr Carson are so sweet in their own little ways. If you see the actress that plays Mrs Hughes in real life, she looks so very different. (In a very good way :) )

Poor Tom Branson. It does feel like something is missing now that Sybil isn't there anymore. Tom must be so lonely. He hates aristocracy and now... Is having to go against what he believes in. At least little Sybil was christened catholic, and he did not give in.

Watch the details. Those shows haven't aired in the US yet. I hope that we get the episodes earlier next year.

And on a shallow note- I have never thought Branson was super attractive, but DANG, he looked hot at the beginning of the episode, all sad and in his mourning suit after the funeral.

Sorry. I read others discussing it and thought it had been broadcast. :)

Laura Carmichael, who plays Edith is so beautiful.
All of the women in full make up really are.
But I love how they keep true to the times and wear very little.
The hairstyles back then were so awful and flat.

The person(s) who create the Facebook version of Downton Abbey are brilliant!

They apparently can't go on holiday before filming because they aren't allowed to get a tan. I found that funny.

I actually heard somewhere that each episode costs £1million. Eeeeeek.

I agree about the hairstyles but some of the dresses I love. Mary seems to have gotten more frumpy since the first season. I love Matthew's bright blue eyes.

The hair & clothing is one of the things I love about this show. It is staying pretty true to the time it is based in. 1st episode is set in 1912 or 14 I think, and current season is 1920. Clothing & hair styles changed a lot in that time frame.

I love seeing how they react to "new" technology. The episode with the telephone was genius. Plus the curling iron that Anna was practicing with & the toaster that they were trying out. Hilarious!

That's OK, I just want to keep the suspense. I have a real dilemma now. I received my season 3 DVD from PBS this afternoon and I have to decide if I want to watch the rest of the season all at once. I would love to but then that just makes the wait until next season even longer. Decisions, decisions.

I wouldn't be able to stand the suspense!! With that temptation, I'd probably call in sick to work the next day and watch them all!!! It's bad enough that I found the link that was posted and I've been watching an episode a day during my lunch hour!!!

Would you or someone please post that link again? TIA!

Reply #16 on this post (first one on page 2) has the link. If you use the Putlocker links, you're able to stream online without having to download anything. Just be sure you "continue as free user"

Also, there were no putlocker links for the last 2 episodes. With some trial and error I was able to watch them both, (and probably radically infect my computer with viruses in the process)

Here's the one I used for the last episode
