Downside to a lower deck?

We just came off our first cruise and we were in a cabin on deck 6, midship. We booked onboard and our next cruise will be deck 2, also midship. Are there any disadvantages to be this much lower down? I liked that we were right in the middle of everything (literally). But I also felt some movement on the ship, will I likely feel it less or more being lower?

When we were on the Wonder last year.we were on dack 2 aft and this year we were on deck 6 forward. I definitely liked 2 better. Closer to dining and to area of getting off of ship. We took the elevator to beach blanket and pools. We felt way less movement on deck 2.

Deck 2 on the classic ships is our favorite spot. You're likely to feel a bit less motion lower down, than higher on the ship.

Deck 2 is quite handy to the adult areas (one deck up) and dining rooms (2 of them one deck up and the other 2 decks up). Also, it's a lot easier to catch an elevator from the lower deck all the way up to the pool deck/buffet then in the middle of the ship.

Absolutely our favorite room on the Wonder is a porthole room, deck 2 aft, near the aft elevators/stairs. One flight up to the atrium/MDR/lounge floor, right there at the buffet elevator, little rolling movement, price is (relatively) right. I highly recommend it.

I agree that Deck 2 midship is a great location. We did the Alaska cruise a couple of years ago in a Deck 2 Oceanview stateroom (2 actually, connecting) and found them quite nice and we enjoyed the location as well. As said, midship and lower decks will feel less movement than upper decks or forward or aft rooms as a rule.
