I want to download some music and burn a CD for our 1st wedding anniversary of some of the music played at our wedding and reception...
Does anyone know of a LEGAL site where you can download and pay for music?

help please :)

I am really enjoying iTunes.

What I think I like the best about it, is that I can buy pre-paid cards for iTunes at Target, and then not go too overboard with the credit card either.....

I know that you can download music at Walmart.com, Napster is now legal and I have also used buymusic.com - never had a problem with any of them (though I don't know of any "free" sites to download music).

I LOVE iTunes!! I use that more than anything else - so that is my recommendation (I don't know why I didn't mention it in my other post), but the others are good as well.

Oh, I am not looking for free!
I do not really want a subscription or monthly charge either...some ask you to subscribe and I am only going to download a few songs....

Sure... go to www.apple.com

and download iTunes. There is a windows version as well as a Mac version. And you don't need one, but an iPod is an awesome gadget!

iTunes -
Oh yeah! I have heard of that one! That is exactly what I was looking for!
thanks so much!!:teeth:

That's what we all say, and then iTunes reels you in like a snook on a hook!

WOW! Now I see why you say that!
What an extensive library they have!
I found ALL of the music from our wedding - I am so excited! (I am listening to some now)

Thank you so very much!

This board rocks! :D

Do these sites have subscription fees along with the download fee? I just started a free trial for AOL but I think it's expensive. They charge $8.95 a month plus .99 per song burned to CD (you can download it to their player for free). If you quit, you lose your downloaded songs that you did not burn.

walmart.com and bestbuy.com That's where I downloaded muisc from.

I really like .88 cents a song. I hardly ever buy CDs no more.

The last CD I bought was Usher's Confessions.

Apple's iTunes.... 99 cents per song. Most albuums $9.99 or $10.99... no other fees at all.

And their files are AAC files, which sound better than mp3. But they don't convert to mp3 directly. You must burn them to a "music disc" ( read WAV. ) and then convert them to mp3 if you want mp3. Or, get an iPod ( awesome ) which read AAC files directly.
