I think I have seen a thread or two about this but never had a use for it. I got a new mobile phone today, and I hate all the ringtones on it. (My old one had the theme from Monty Python's Flying Circus-I loved it!) I'm not really sure what a "Disney"ringtone would be, just curious. Anyone know of a website-free would be great! And Disney wallpaper for the phone, too??

Is it difficult to download a ringtone, and do you need a special cable?? Thanks for the info!

DO NOT GO TO FREE DOWNLOADABLE RING TONE SITES. YES, I AM YELLING! We ended up with more bad stuff on our computer after trying some of these (including a REALLY pernicious program that kept putting back "Best Casino $200 Sign-on Bonus" icons on all our desktops and our favorites and our start menus. As many times as I deleted them, they kept coming back. Spybot never found them. I finally found a kludgy way to get rid of them. (If anyone needs to know how, PM me!)

Who's your phone through? With Verizon, you can download Disney & Pixar wallpapers & ringtones right from your phone (through Get It Now menu option).

The Pixar collection has Nemo, A Bug's Life, Monsters, Inc. and Toy Story wallpapers & songs.

The Magic Kingdom Collection has a little bit of everything. Some songs: Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo, Cruella DeVil, I'm Late, I just Can't Wait to be King, It's a Small World, The Bear Necessities, Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, You'll be in my heart. Plus a bunch more

Wallpapers: Mickey, Minnie, 101 Dalmatians, Eeyore, Goofy, Pooh, Tink, Snow White, & a bunch more.

Boot your computer in safe mode. Try spybot and adaware. They'll get almost everything. CWShredder will take care of a CWS variants that the other programs don't always get.

Yep, it's Verizon...Thanks so much...Now if I can just figure out how to work the phone, I'll be fine!! ( I may try "It's a Small World just to bother other people!!)

LOL! I've often wondered how many people actually do choose that as one of their ringtones. I imagine the majority of people who do use it, do it for just that reason :)

Does it have to be a specific phone from Verizon? They are my cell carrier, but my phone will be 2 years old in Sept. Maybe my phone won't be one of the ones to get the ringtones??

If you go here and choose which model phone you have, it will give you what you can download. If your phone's not listed, then it's probably too old.

But the phone I just bought yesterday isn't on it either-one of those new slide phones-Kyocera SE47 (or 147 can't remember) Once you have figured out if you have a compatible phone, do you need a cable to hook up and down load? I guess I should have taken this to the Tech Board, but I thought more people would see it here, if they wanted to get them for themselves..Sorry to the mods if I did the wrong thing:guilty: :) .

I have the Disney's "Under the Sea (Calypso) on my cell. I luv to drive people nuts with my Disney stuff. :wizard:

Since the Disney ones are not available on my phone, I checked out some of the ones that were...How does "Purple Haze" by Jimi Hendrix sound to you guys?

Thanks for the site info, WE4. My phone isn't on that list either.:(
(I am already not too happy with my phone choice, and I have another year and 364 days to go on my contract!)

but I gotta say, That is the MOST obnoxious rendition of "It's a Small World" that I have ever heard..Ear splitting..You thought it was bad when they played it the entire time you stood in line for the ride...try the one on this site...

Ouch!:teeth:

Search engines are wonderful things. I typed in your phone make & model followed by the words disney ringtones.... and here are your results. Hopefully you can find something.

I have a 2 yr old Nokia....and that's how I found my "When You Wish Upon A Star". It did take a bit of looking however to find it on a US site. Most seem to be UK sites.....and I didn't want to be involved with paying for a text message from UK. My phone is thru Cingular.

I have a verizon lg6000 and I can e-mail ringtones to myself. You go through the vzpix.com site. Email your phone number@vzpix.com. You can send any midi file. You only pay for the e-mail. I've sent One Little Spark, Spectromagic, Electric Parade, Carousel of Progress, Grim Grinning Ghosts and al bunch of non Disney Tunes.

Ok, here's what I did. I took back that horrible sliding/stupid/won't let you do a darn thing phone, and got a camera phone (which I don't need, but is kinda fun), and is COMPLTETLY compatible with the "Get it Now" options (wonderful and easy) from Verizon. It took me about 1/2 hour to figure it out, pick out what ringtones I wanted, and pay for it. No big deal, I just wish I hadn't spent 2 days with that weird little sliding phone. Did you guys know that you can return a Verizon phone within 15 days? Thank God for that, otherwise I would be stuck with that really WEIRD sliding phone!!

I chose Bibidibobideeboo, and Mickey Mouse March for my ringtones, and Tinkerbell for my Wallpaper. I am happy now.

A day after I got my new ring, I was in the Disney Outlet Store with my phone attached to my backpack. I heard this "toy" playing Bibidibobidiboo, and I looked all over trying to find it. Yep, it was my phone...
