We just purchased a digital camera. Is there anywhere on the WDW property that we can download the pics to a disk, to a computer site or email them home? Thank you so much!

I believe you can download your pics to CD @ the Town Hall in MK. However, be sure you are familiar with this process as I have heard horror stories about thinking the pics were copied to CD only to find no pics on CD or picture card!:earseek:

You may be better off downloading to laptop or some type of portable hard drive. Or, just bring lotsa picture cards.

We have heard that it is outragiously expensive in DW. You are better off either bringing a laptop or do as we do which is to bring extra cards and then take them to COSTCO when we get home. The savings alone will apy for an extra card depending on how many pictures that you take. ::MickeyMo

Sounds like a good time to get a lap top:)

My husband brings the laptop for just this purpose. Of course, he always finds a way to log in and check up on work (wish he could let it go for awhile).

During our trip last week we went offsite for some groceries (Walmart) and had a photo CD created at the same time. It cost under $5. A word of advice, try to go somewhere where you can use a CD to get prints made. Get the CD created, and then use the machine to look at your CD to make sure that all the files are fine BEFORE you wipe your memory card clean.

I brought my lap top with me a few years ago. It worked out pretty well but it was really old and is about 15 pounds. Im not even kidding. I would get a really big card for the camera. My friend just go a 512 MB card i think for around $115 or so.

I read a thread here last year about a Mom who took her digital pics to Town Hall to download, and the CM accidentally erased everything. She was beyond broken hearted...

I'm sure it was a fluke, but you might want to find other options just incase.

We just did this last week. You can download up to 120 pics at a time, which costs about $12 and some change. You can do it in MK (broken while we were there), the Contemporary, or Epcot. It was actually very simply and you basically do it yourself. You put your disk in the machine and chose the pictures you want to download. It then compiles them all (takes a good 15 minutes for 120 pictures). Then you get a Kodak disc from the CM and put it in the machine and actually copy the pics onto the disc. Once copied it shows you what pictures are on there so you can doublecheck. Very simple, and took about 20 minutes altogether.

I personally pay .20 a print at Sams Club or .24 a print a walmart.
If you want you can have pictures put on CD also. I believe it costs 3.84 at Walmart.

I bring my Laptop to WDW and have yet to resort to downloading pictures to it.

...we ask that same question before and someone told us that Walgreens transfer you digital to cd for 3.99 + tax,
but you can bring your laptop or if you can buy a digital photo
library this is an external hard disk where you can dump your pictures and then when you get home transfer it to your computer
...we bought ours last sunday at Radio Shak and it was on sale ...
we already had look for prices all over the internet and on stores like CompUSA and there were over $250.00 but at Radio Shak it cost us just $150.00 and it holds up to 15,000 pictures and it size its like a medium index card ,work on batteries too so you can bring it with you to the parks easy withot the worry of how much space do you have on your cards ;) ...

if you want more info feel free to ask!!!

Wishing to see a lot of lime green on July ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

I believe that there is a Walgreens
in the DTD area that will transfer your pictures for $3.99.
