Downgrading?

I'm thinking about booking a CL or savannah view room at AKL for next November so we have our "dream room". If there aren't any good deals later this summer for our travel dates, would be be able to downgrade to a moderate? What are the chances of us getting a "discounted deal" for the week after Thanksgiving? Also, if I book through Disney soon and they offer a deal in the summer, I can get that deal by calling them back right? Thanks for any advice!

You may always change resorts/views, provided there is availability. If you have a package and are under the 45 day mark and downgrade lowering the final cost you will incur a $50 change fee. You have 5 days from check-in with a room only ressie, so you should be safe there.

I suggest you book what you could comfortably afford now. Watch for codes, and if a good deal comes out then upgrade. There is the possibility that you can't book your dream room, but if no deals come out, there is the possibility you can't get a moderate either.
