Down time at MK suggestions

Hi,
I'm trying to plan afternoon breaks for most days on our trip. I have twins that will be turning 5 and adults that could probably use the break too.

I kind of messed up our 2nd MK day though. We have a 3:00 BBB appointment and dinner plans at 1900 Park Fare. It doesn't really make sense to go back to BCV (using Disney transportation). Where can we go in or near MK in the early afternoon for some downtime?

I'm thinking Tom Sawyer Island and maybe the Riverboat ride inside the park, maybe a monorail ride.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Heather

I think your list is great. My kids also like to go on the TTA to relax. It is one of 2 rides that you do not HAVE to get off and can keep going as long as you like. They also like CoP. Of course, you'll find yourself singing, "There's a great, big, beautiul tomorrow....." for the rest of the day.

How about resort hopping on the monorail trail or with the ferries? Stop by one (maybe by the pool of the weather isn't too hot) and get a fancy drink (shirley temple, slush).

The slower attractions at MK are a great choice too!

--Go to the Carousel of Progress in Tomorrowland. There is never a line and you get to sit down and watch the "show". It is kind of corny, but we actually like it. It is a Walt Disney original.
--Find a bench and people watch.
--Ride the RR Train
--Do the Hall of Presidents (although I think it's closed right now)
--Take the monorail or a ferry to see the Monorail Resorts. You can find a place to sit and relax over there and you'll get to see some other resorts.
--Ride TTA in Tomorrowland if it doesn't have much of a line. (another sit-down ride)
--Get a snack at Pinnochio Village Haus in Fantasyland. Sit upstairs and watch people on "It's a Small World".

That's all I can think of right now, but I'm sure there are others.

there's a great little path from toontown to tomorrow land that we like to stroll through and sit on the benches there. it doesn't get a ton of use so it's a great place for our dd to rest a bit while waiting for others in our party. :)

if you take the boat over to wilderness lodge, the lobby and grounds are beautiful and very peaceful. might be fun to go and explore. :)
