Down Pillow Addicts? Requests?

Wanted to know if you all have requested down pillows as I have - my understanding is that they are available, but often run out - I'm thinking about running over to a nearby Walmart to get one since we're flying -I requested one in the past at Boardwalk but never received one. Any ideas about the nearest place to get a cheap down pillow?

We usually request down pillows when we get there and have always gotten them. Of course, now I am wondering if they are sanitized between each use. Does Wal-Mart sell real down pillows. I wonder if you'd have to go to a department store or something.

I didn't know they had them ; never have room in suitcase for my pillow or I would lug it from home....i'm a confirmed pillow snob.

Yep. confirmed pillow snob. Those poly pillow just don't do it for me. I usually manage to sleep well after a long day at the parks no matter what pillow I have, but it's never as comfy as plopping down into a down pillow.

However I am LOL at the "sanitizing" question.

I travel every week. I have never even cared if my pillows, bedspreads etc are "changed"

Guess what I am RARELY sick. LOL!

I used to bring an old down pillow that is pretty squished. I used it in my luggage on the top as a cushion for contents (or sometimes carried it on the plane), then on my bed. Now I keep it in my Owners Locker. I will say that the new pillows at the villas are better than the old ones, though not as nice as down.

Sounds like it would be a great idea for the Owner's Locker! Why not keep a pair right in the locker, ready for use each time you travel!

We carry our pillows in our luggage in a space bag. If the pillow is near the end of its life (time to replace), we trash it before returning home.

I've also used a space bag for both my pillow and for my down throw. I'm always cold at night. Marie

"They" say you learn something new every day I had no idea down pillows are available. I love my down pillow, so I'm very excited

I also had no idea they had down pillows! We love our down pillows which is why we pack all four of ours for every trip!!!! I cannot sleep without my own pillow! We actually use a carryon sized suitcase just to carry our pillows down or anywhere we travel!!!!

I had no idea they had these either - boy am I excited to find it out though! I get a stiff neck from those foam slabs. (dh loves them though!)

I didn't know they had down pillows either. I absolutely hate those hard-as-a-brick foam things. I have always asked for feather pillows before residing in FL. Now, I just bring my down pillow with me. It's heavenly.

Add me to the list of people who didn't know about down pillows! Are the available at all WDW resorts or just the DVC resorts?
