Down Payment for intimate wedding

I am getting ready to make the big call to book my wedding for next summer. Does anyone know about how much I will need to put down to reserve the date? I want to make sure I have the right amount before I call. I don't want anything to go wrong.

ok, so I guess that it is the cost of whatever the room is at that particular time? I assume that it is extra if you get a deluxe over a moderate? The moderate does come standard right?

I think this all depends on if you are booking through Disney or booking through a travel agent. If you would like to stay longer than the amount of days that Disney offers with the intimate package, you may want to look into booking your hotel through the travel agent and your wedding through Disney. We ended up booking 7 days at the same price that Disney was only going to give us 4 days. But Disney will not hold your wedding date for you until they have seen that you made a room reservation. Generally you would only need to make a $50 deposit at a travel agent and than your wedding date & location will be held by Disney. Hope this helps a little.

WOW! I think you may have sold me! I am going to check into that. We usually go through AAA to do things like that. Anyone else out there have any comments on this way of doing things?

I hate to bring up stuff that was mentioned before, but I looked through the old posts and I couldn't find the one that answers my question.
How much is an add on wedding? I know it is approximate and all that, but if I could get an idea, it would make me feel better. Thanks!

The whole package for a Deluxe Intimate was about 3500.
This broke down to 2300 for the wedding portion and 1200 for the room and park tickets portion. This was only for a 4 night stay though. (no air fare) We were able to get 7 days at Liberty Travel for the same price, so we just "added on" the 2,300 to our package. We later found out we were eligiable for the 4 for 7 deal, so we went back and booked with Disney at an even lower price. So check and see if Disney is offering any special deals for the time that you are going. One nice thing about booking the wedding and hotel seperate is that if later on down the road Disney comes out with a special promotion, you can apply that to your hotel reservation. If you book it all as a "wedding package" you may not be able to do that.

*These prices I qouted are for moderate accomodations and a ceremony at any of the outdoor locations. For a ceremony at the Pavillion add about $700-800 more.
