Down in the dumps today

I am feeling really discouraged this week. I know that 20 pounds and 15 inches is great but things have really slowed down for me.As of today I am even for the week but I have tried to be really careful and I was hoping for some kind of loss. I still have till Monday morning for the official weigh-in so there is still hope.
 
I know how you feel i've been there done that. It's okay get on top of it. Use www.fitday.com to see what's going on and where you can adjust your foods to make things move for you agian. Also are you moving doing your exercises? Add a day or a few extra minutes each week. Also are you drinking water? If so are you drinking caffinne during your day? Do fit day i highly recommend it and have a your pm buddy look at it with you if you need some help deciding where to trim up at. Have a great weekend and best wishes for a great weight in on monday. You can make a move on the weekends i just know it!
 
Don't give up!

And try not to get discouraged. You're going to have slow weeks - but 20 pounds in just over a month is still a really great accomplishment!

Just keep sticking to your plan and moving foward towards your goal :) You'll get there!
 
Here is where most people have a problem with weight loss...they are on track ready to go great guns and the weight is falling off then it stalls a little and they are discourage and give up. What they don't realize that this is probably the first of many stalls if they had kept fighting and sticking with their program they would see that it was only temporary. Don't give in!! Don't be discouraged you CAN do this!! And, woo hoo on that 20 pounds! You are 20 pounds lighter than last month!! And you are on a path that is so much heathlier than last month!! You have a lot to celebrate...no food aloud while celebrating....maybe we should call it happy dancing!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Good luck at your weigh in Monday! Don't be discouraged be happy for your accomplishments!! Give yourself a hug for those 20 pounds gone!

Please don't get discouraged! You are doing so great! 20lbs since 6/6/03 is AWESOME! Your body will slow down many times before you reach goal. I agree with looking at everything you are doing and see if you can shake things up a little. Your body may also just be trying to settle down after loosing so much so quickly. Most people loose an average of 1-2 pounds a week after the intitial quick losses.

Good luck on your WI on Monday! Keep thinking good thoughts and those pounds will continue to melt away!

Please do not feel discouraged. 20 lbs is nothing to sneeze at. YOu have accomplished a lot, and sometimes our bodies need time to adjust, and we stall. I stalled for 6 weeks and was very down, but I finaly started loosing again. I was 3 pounds from goal at the beginning of the month, but now am 6 pounds, but I went away and had fun. Do not give up, you can do it...you have already proven that :)

When I was in a severe funk for the last 2 days, I decided to exercise my way out of it. It really does help relieve stress and helps me feel like---hey, at least I'm doing my part! It CAN'T be bad for me! It's got to help in SOME way.

Just my $.02...hang in there. Could it be close to TOM?

Jeez...20 pounds in less than 6 weeks! That's amazing! What percentage of your weight have you lost? That's 4 bags of sugar! Awesome job! I wanna be like you!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know it is hard when you are good all week and your body just won't let go of a couple of pounds for you. That is happening to me this week, too. (and I suspect the BF is still lurking around my house) The BF may be making a stop at your house, too. I know when it is TOM for me, I usually slow down with weight loss, too.
I also think the other posters are right--our bodies just have to rest from time to time.

Don't be discouraged!! You are doing a wonderful job. You are 20 pounds healthier than when you began! That is something to be very proud of!
 
Hang in there sweetie...tomorrow is a NEW DAY!!! We all have days when we feel discouraged...that is what makes the "reward" so much sweeter!!! I am sure by Monday...you will be a LOSER!!

It can get tough sometimes, can't it?

I want you go to the grocery store today. Go to the sugar aisle and pick up four 5-pound sugar bags.

And don't put them in the grocery cart.

Carry them around with you. See if you can carry them until you're finished shopping.

Now, how do you feel about losing those 20-pounds...lol?

You've done great.

Hey there, mum4jenn! :) Now c'mon, this doesn't sound like the you I know at all!!!!!! :) I'm sending you some bouncing around the house pixie dust! ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Be careful, because it's very powerful! And it will kick in when you least expect it!

Now you take a look back at how far you have come! How would you feel if you hadn't lost all those pounds and inches? Or WORSE, how would you feel if you had GAINED that in a month? YIKES!!!:eek: :eek:

You've got alot to be proud of! You can do this! Keep chugging along no matter what! Just because the scale doesn't cooperate or you don't measure smaller with the tape measure, it doesn't mean SOMETHING isn't happening!!! :) Your body is making changes on the inside as well. So you just keep eating the way you have been and let your body sort it all out, you'll see a loss again in the future!!! :)
 
You've probably hit a plateau that is common with weight loss. But don't give up. Think of how healthy you are becoming and let THAT be your motivation. You're probably eating better and exercising, less weight to carry means less strain on your heart!!! And 20 lbs and 15 inches is WONDERFUL!!! Celebrate the successes and keep it up, you know you will get results, just be patient!!

Chin up!!! You will get through this. Don't be hard on yourself. Keep track of what you are eating, get out & walk & don't worry about the scale. You are doing ALL the right things. You lost a lot of weight, fast, as you know, weight loss tends to slow down & even stall sometimes. Hang in there, I'm sure that you will start to see more good results soon.
