Down by the Stream at Dusk

How about going with more of a lava look:

It's funny; the as is one's look the least "real."

No. 1, is beautiful, but it looks painted almost. It is the most surreal of the bunch.

I like the corrected ones better.

Thanks so much for the feedback all- I think I prefer the corrected ones myself but I do like the 'as-shot' ones because it almost looks like moon light or something.

By the way which planet were these shot on:rotfl2:

Seriously, just how did you get these shots?

They were taken in the evening with a tripod- shutter lock up- cable release.

(Planet Tennessee)

I'd have thought you'd have used shutter priority over aperture. I see you went the other way. Any reason why?

I used aperature priority to control the depth of field. I was less worried about shutter speed because I knew it would be long enough to blur the moving water.

Can you share your EXIF data on these shots?

The full EXIF is intact in the images- but they were shot at ISO 200 at f16 for a 30 second exposure. Nikon D300 & 17-55/2.8 lens.

I vote for the corrected versions, but the blue-tint ones are compelling images as well. Where at Disney did you take these?:confused3 :confused3

LOL- I do venture outside Disney occasionally. ;)

RAW is amazing!!

I agree with you on shooting RAW- a dramatic difference by clicking the little eyedropper on a grey rock.

What white balance gave it that look? :confused3

The camera was in Auto-ISO as usual- which read the sceen around 4200- the correction warmed it up to around 10000.

Nice. :thumbsup2

Thanks again all-
