Down By The Boardwalk, Out By The Mouse. 3/11 Jen's New PTR Pg. 69

I am all caught up. I think we are just missing each other by a week or so.We arrive Feb 2. I can't wait to see what my favorite sound and smell will be.

I do like your randomness! It makes total sense to me!

Jen, we will still be here on the 17th. It's our faculty Christmas party but I don't think we are going. I have to sign up by tomorrow and we had already decided no go on either of our parties this year, they just didn't work with Baylor's schedule. So it looks like we will be eating with you!

This is the best news!!! I'm so excited Anita!!!! I can't wait now to see you guys! You'll have to share all the insider secrets about your trip LOL!!! Tell Baylor I look forward to seeing him!!!

You are not alone with the funk, maybe it's holiday and trip related. We'll be there the same time - invitation is still open for a dismeet? :goodvibes

Studying and taking classes as well as working is difficult. I have postponed my exam date until spring for my next levels.

I am also battling weight issues :sad2:, I had to spend 1 month in the UK for work, and my eating habits tanked... must be the pub life, high caloric intake and little movement. But I am also hoping for some loss before the trip !

Your to do list resembles mine !

Forgot to add, LL you will LOVE your alone time, while in the UK I went to DLRP for the weekend on my own, it was incredible. I missed my family, but it was MUCH needed time. Where are you staying - did I miss that update? I think that is the best Christmas Present !

Random updates are the best! LL, glad you are coming out of your funk and hurray for extra days at Disney! I think that is a great Christmas present! :santa:

I love random updates. And with the holidays the time before your trip is going to fly right by!!

Yeah for extra nights, LL! :thumbsup2

Since you're both focusing on weight loss - any healthy snacks or favorite healthy meals you'd like to share?

3 extra days!! I KNEW that was going to happen...:rotfl:
But YAY anyway!! :lmao:
What a good husband for giving you what you really want for Christmas..I don't think Blake and I have bought for each other ever..we always end up giving each other the trip!
Love the random update as well!

I have three staples in my house right now, Vitamin Water Zero Rise, Cinnabon Cream of Wheat (SO GOOD) and I make vegetable foil packets. Which is just veggies, different types of seasonings, a little light margarine folded into a foil packet and put in the oven for about 35 minutes. Eat that with chicken. It's filling, low in points, and NO Clean up!!

Marc and I just ordered the book that was featured on Dr. Phil. "The Seventeen Day Diet". Did anyone else see that show? Won't have time to get started before we leave but am interested in trying it when we get back....
Actually thinking about ordering the meals. Yes I know, I'm a lazy bum.

:woohoo: for your awesome Christmas gift!! What a great man you have there :goodvibes Between the time off of school and your trip you will have plenty of time to decompress  Are your extra days at the BW too? Or I suppose that could always be subject to change :rolleyes1

LL and Jen your trip is right around the corner :goodvibes

Tracy

4. And probably the biggest factor helping me to get out of my funk...the addition of three nights onto the trip for me!! I will be departing earlier. Marc asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I kept trying to come up with something when I finally told him, I really want some extra days in Disney and voila...Merry Christmas Leslie! My 3 extra nights is just a little over what I paid on Marc's Christmas presents and he was okay with that. I think he realizes I really need some alone time to just do whatever I want and then when that alone time is over, I have 6 nights to spend with my BFF Jen. It sounds perfect to me!

Wow, wow, and wow!
Very nice gift. :santa:

I love your random updates! :goodvibes And I LOVE the Parent Trap!!! I've never seen the Mary Kate/Ashley Olson version, but I bet I'd even like that one.

My favorite smell would have to be the Main Street smell - fresh cookies baking....:cloud9: And the BEST thing is that I realized after our last trip that when we got home and walked past the bakery on the corner by our house - it almost smells the same! :cloud9: Each time I walk past the bakery, I get a little smile on my face and think of Main Street!

And  for staying an extra 3 days!!!!!!! That is a FABULOUS Christmas gift! I asked for a purse. I so shoulda asked for a solo getaway. :rotfl:

Someone's trip is only DAYS away or maybe just a day away LOL!!!!! Marc was such a sweetheart giving Leslie those extra days!!! I found out last night that Phillip apparently got me something I don't know about LOL should be interesting LOL!!!

Marc and I just ordered the book that was featured on Dr. Phil. "The Seventeen Day Diet". Did anyone else see that show? Won't have time to get started before we leave but am interested in trying it when we get back....

Let me know how you like that book!! I'm always willing to try new things that might give my body the kick in the pants it needs to encourage weight loss!!

If I could give you that solo trip Brook I would!! How are things in NY?? Oh the smell on Main Street is just heavenly!!! OH to have that smell just down the block would be amazing!! I think that is the one thing I would love about NYC would be all the small shops around!!!

I'm excited about a random update!!! :yay:

LL - I am glad you are taking some time off of classes to focus on yourself! And WOOHOO for extra days at DISNEY!!! :woohoo:
What a great Christmas gift!! You have a gem of a husband!!

You guys - after Christmas, it is going to FLY by until your trip!!

Isn't it a great gift!!!! I can't believe that Christmas is only 12 short days away and from there we'll only have a month until our trip!!!!

I hear you on burnout. My orientation is kicking my butt. I got to work yesterday, clocked in for 6 minutes and had to race home to a sick kid. Ugh. So that just tacks another day to the end. It is hard. I want to get to my nice schedule of one work day a week!

LL-And I am totally jealous that your TR isn't even done and you are almost back again. But I am super excited that you got to add on 3 days. Enjoy your break!
JJ-Did you get the link on my PTR to those shoes. They are still on sale and still the most comfy shoes in the world!

Burnout stinks!! I'm so glad Leslie will have the time to just relax during the holidays!!!!

I did get the link, unfortunately by the time I got there they didn't have in my size either!!! I will keep checking though!! THANK YOU!!!!

I am all caught up. I think we are just missing each other by a week or so.We arrive Feb 2. I can't wait to see what my favorite sound and smell will be.

Awwww...I leave on the 1st of February so we'll miss you by a day...bummer!!!!! Make sure you come back here and share with us what your favorite sound and smell will be LOL!!!!

I did the whole work, school, family thing and you are right it is not easy at all!! I'm really happy that Leslie was able to work it out to get some time off to really enjoy the holidays and relax so she can really enjoy her clinicals when the time comes.

We both have some alone time on this trip and I know we will enjoy the solo time!!! It's fun to just explore Disney on your own!!!!!

Random updates are the best! LL, glad you are coming out of your funk and hurray for extra days at Disney! I think that is a great Christmas present! :santa:

I love randomness...no plan to follow while writing your PTR LOL!!!!!!

And so the randomness continues WOOT WOOT!!!!!!!! Time to celebrate another random countdown moment!!! Today's moment is brought to you by the number....

1124839344_bDWvm-L.jpg

That's right Leslie and I are 43 days away from Disney fun (well technically Leslie will get there a few days earlier, but I'm going with when we both arrive)!!! Well not only have Leslie's plans changed (by the way if anyone has been paying attention I think this officially means we have broken every single resolution we made :rotfl2:) a few of mine have too! I will be arriving earlier on Tuesday night, which means a DTD night and dinner have been added!! We'll play it by ear where and when, but I'm thinking that a stop at DTD is the perfect first thing to do when I arrive!!! WOOT WOOT!!!!

In other randomness, the holiday season is here!!! In our next update Leslie and I will share some pictures of Christmas decorations around the house and some of our holiday plans!! I hosted a neighborhood holiday drop in party this weekend which was a huge hit!!! Finally made it to the Vera Bradley outlet and it was like stepping into a piece of heaven!!! All those discounts...I was good but I did walk out with a new wallet!!! I will be heading to Kansas this weekend to have dinner with some very special friends (cough cough Anita and Marc cough cough), to see a new baby, and to spend time with my family!!! Leslie has been very busy with a lot of holiday parties and just rocking around the Christmas tree!!!! I will let Leslie tell you more about her holiday plans!!!!:santa:

In my weight loss news...it's official according to Weight Watchers since I joined in September I have lost 21 lbs!! WOOT WOOT :cool1: I'm really hoping to lose another 3 lbs this week before I head home! I can't wait for my family to see me!!!!!

Alright so who is celebrating our random countdown with us today!!! Which Disney duo did we choose!! Well this pair is so heartwarming and I love this movie!!! So without further ado....we introduce....

1124839343_xUrbn-L.jpg
Copper and Todd! These are a very playful duo who are the best of friends!! Just like me and Leslie!!! We will be friends forever!!!!!

Alright now it's time for our random question of the day and boy is this one random!!! LOL :rotfl:

Where is your favorite in park bathroom??

Yup that's right we want to know about your favorite park bathroom LOL!!!

So Leslie's is the bathroom outside of TSM in Pixar Place!!!!!!

I sort of cheated LOL!!! I did follow the rules and I picked a bathroom in the park, it's just also in a building in a park and I will probably never EVER get to use this bathroom LOL!!!!

1124836464_yF4oq-L.jpg

That's right I chose the bathroom in the Royal Suite in Cinderella's castle!! Isn't it gorgeous LOL!!

Alright, it's your turn now!! Where is your favorite park bathroom? Remember the rules it has to be in a park LOL!!!!

Have a great day all!!!

43 days!! :banana::banana:

This also reminds me that 2011 will be the first year since 2007 without a trip to WDW in January/February for me... :sad2: Fortunately, a long trip to WDW is on the horizon for October. :goodvibes

Favourite park bathroom??? Wow, that's difficult. I really liked the one hidden behind the Imagination pavillion, just because it is such a hidden corner of the world... BUT I think my number one bathroom is the one at Rafiki's Planet Watch in AKL: How can you beat poo facts?

Ahem. I think it should be a bathroom you have actually used! :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

I have 41 days in case anyone is wondering. That is a fabulous thought!

I'm currently on my break from school. I will go back around the first week of February depending on snow days and such. I'm enjoying my time off but the thought of going back to finish makes me want to cry but I must solider on. Sigh.

I've been very busy with Christmas. VERY busy. But it's a good busy, I've been enjoying the Holiday festivities for sure which is very nice with the busy year I've had. :santa:

Jen! 21 pounds! That's amazing!!!!!!!! We gotta see pics! :hyper: Congratulations! I sooooo need to get back on with WW. I still eat pretty healthy (most of the time), but portion sizes I think are doing in me. Right now money is really tight, so I have to wait until after the new year when things loosen up a bit. Perhaps then I can afford the fees and more healthy food again. I miss wearing a few of my tops and jeans - and I DON'T like the number that has creeped up on me on the scale over the past 3 years. :sad2:

Favorite in-park bathroom....I think my favorite is the HUGE one right by Lights Motor Action! in DHS. It's just enormous and always very clean and empty (unless a show just let out, obviously!). There is a big mirror on one end and it has those turbo hand dryers. I like those.

I look forward to hearing all about the holiday stuff! We've been busy around here too, but it's been so much fun!

Hurray for 43 days!!! Well, 41 for Leslie!!!

Too funny that you have broken every trip resolution that you both made. Seriously, this made me laugh out loud!

Yeay for a successful holdiay drop-in, Jen! Say hi to Marc and Anita for me! Oh, and the biggest dance ever for losing 21 pounds! Awesome!

You know, I saw The Fox and the Hound when it first came out in 1981 (I would have been six or seven at the time), and it was the first movie where I cried. I haven't seen it since. LOL!

My favorite park bathroom? :lmao: Hmmm, let me think...I like the one in between Frontierland and Adventureland in the MK because it is so huge, and there is never a line. :thumbsup2
