Douglas Adams?

I was listening to the share holder meeting on and off at work. Did I hear that Disney obtained the rights to make a movie of Douglas Adam's Hitchhiker's Guide to the Universe? I've seen no mention of it here but I swear I heard it. I love these books but can't imagine how a movie could do them justice (although I'm sure plenty of folks said that about the Lord of the Rings).
Anyone know anything about this?

Interesting notes on that second link. I'm glad the suggestion of Jim Carry to play Zaphod was a bust. Can't see that.

im really looking forward to the film, just finish all the books and bought the old bbc series on dvd and loved it to. hope they do it justice!!!!

From what I've read it looks like it's going to be a big production, too
