Doubletree or Hyatt Regency

Ok, well things did not go exactly how I planned . We moved our trip from August to October. I placed a bid on priceline at $41 and won! And we have a little problem. The hotel is the Crowne Plaza. I had only done a little research on this hotel. I called the front desk today to check on the reservation. I requested a room with 2 queen beds and they said that there is no way of knowing what type of room that we will recieve until we check in but she will add the request. I can't imagine all three of us sleeping in a King Bed together for an entire week. We will be miserable and get no sleep! Any suggestions? I am very disapointed and thinking about just booking a suite at the Doubletree and eating the $200 at the Crowne Plaza ?

Did you checkout any of the bidding websites? All of them state very clearly, and Priceline does as well, that room types are not guaranteed. Many people have put in requests for 2 queen beds at these hotels, but it's not guaranteed. That's just the way it is. I wouldn't cancel. I'd chance it, and if worst comes to worst, request a rollaway or bring an aerobed like the other person mentioned.

I have always gotten the request for 2 beds with priceline honored.... but I do call a few times before my trip to confirm they have the request in my reservation.. I read some reviews about the Crowne Plaza and they have been pretty good.. I wouldn't give up on it yet!!

Hi, I have used Priceline many times for Anaheim. We are 2 adults and 3 children. We have always had 2 queen beds except once at the Hyatt when we checked in late. They did give us a rollaway bed at no extra charge. We have stayed at the Crowne Plaza a few times and booked through Priceline and everytime we had 2 queens. They also have a shuttle they share with the Hyatt that is free, but I believe they charge for parking if I remember correctly and it is about 14.00/day. Also tonight I am staying at the Marriott and got it through Priceline for 45.00, I was surprised because the price of the Marriott was 169.00. Anyway I think the Crowne Plaza will give you the 2 queens, you can also ask for another room at the same price you booked through Priceline but then it would be 41.00 a night more. Good Luck....

Does the Doubletree have any rooms with a view of the fireworks?? I have 2 small children and my hubby is unable to walk long distances or deal w/ big crowds for very long. So I would love to watch the fireworks from our hotel. If not... then do you have any other suggestions for a hotel? I need a microwave & refrig too in the room! Thanks!!:flower3:
