Had a great stay at the Doubletree Castle!
If you want a place with quiet rooms, great theming, near Universal-for around $100 a night- this is a great option!
The castle theming was really cute. The kids enjoyed being princes and princesses.
The pool wasn't huge, but we had it all to ourselves, and the kids really liked the fountain in the middle. Plus, it was nice to eat breakfast out by the pool.
Breakfast includes coffee and tea (or just coffe and tea for free). They have a short menu with some big, more expensive breakfasts, but if you ask, the less inclusive breakfast options are very reasonably priced. The service was quick, and they make your eggs right in front of you (I'm picky about how I like my eggs, and they were perfect, a BIG plus!) We had planned on going elsewhere for breakfast, but it was so reasonable and so easy and so pleasant - we ate at the hotel instead. I love Orlando, but sometimes the crowds make me feel smothered - so it was great to be able to start the day out on a peaceful note.
A last little feature that I liked was they had classical music throughout the hotel. Even in your room, you had private controls to play music or not. Even though the rooms were quiet, it was nice to be able to put the music on very softly to fall asleep.
The only minor downside I can see, is that the hotel doesn't have a brand new feel to it. It was pretty well maintained though, and very clean.
