Hi all, we have gone to disney a dozen times, but I never noticed what kinds of double strollers people push around. anyway, just purchased a BJCED and it is an awesome stroller, however, is is HEAVY and a bit bulky. Do people push these things around Disney and lug them on & off the buses? We go to Disney a couple times a year and I bought the BJCED so the kids are nice & comfy & cool while we are there but i can't imagine lugging that thing on & off the buses....anyone out there with experience? TIA!

we have the BJC single stroller and my husband did lug that on and off the buses last year for my 5 yo son. We also had a Maclaren Volo for my younger one which I carried around..much easier. I have seen people with double joggers and I feel badly b/c they are heavy and hard to get on and off the buses. Our best double stroller was one that I got on Craigslist or $85...the Combi twin side by side. It had great baskets, the sun visor was awesome, it laid flat AND it had a tri fold with a carry strap. Def the easiest stroller we had...i am a little sorry that I got rid of it.

Right now I have a HUGE Graco Duo Glider, my babies are 2y and 6 months. I need the duo glider so that the baby had full recline and so that the car seat fit in. However.... I cannot imagine trying to manage that tank in DW. For our upcoming trip (the baby will be 11m at the time) we have a Combi Twin Sport. It is a side by side, as opposed to a front/back, it is much lighter and folds much smaller. It still has full recline so that they can nap. (I also have a 12y and two 9y, so the babies nap in the stroller while they do big kid stuff) I don't really care about cup holders, storage baskets and trays.

we have used the double stroller for years, now have just upgraded to the sit n' stand stoller, i little lighter, should be a little easier to get around. taking practice laps around the block to get ready for trip

on our last trip we took the graco duo glider. it was not too bad, however, i hate this stroller. I think we are just going to suck it up & bring the heavy one b/c the kids will be comfortable in it, & it is beyond easy to push and is my dream stroller, with the exception of the weight. my husband will just suck it up for a week. we are staying at Beach Club so we won't be on the buses for Epcot or Hollywood Studios.
thanks for your replies! :-)

Combii Twin Sport is what I got for Disney double stroller and it is VERY light and easy to push. I don't have the one you are talking about so I cant rate it, but I researched the one I bought thoroughly specifically for Disney. It also folds up almost flat, and then in half again to make it pretty darn compact for a double stroller.

We have the BJCD double and we brought it on our last trip. We do rent a car, but even if we didn't, I'd bring it again.

It was so nice to have our stroller from home with us and it's a dream to push.

We have the Graco Duo Quattro double stroller and have taken it twice to WDW. It is a tank, but so nice to have. DS1 napped in it both times. DH pushed it most of the time, and handled the buses. We stayed at BCV last week and used it on buses to MK & AK and actually wasn't TOO bad!

Good luck! I'm in the same boat as you. We have the same stroller and we're going in November. Let us know how it works out!

We just bought one ourselves, and have been "training" for this WDW trip too!!:)

We went this past February to Disney with our BJ City Elite Double with our then 6 month old and 2 1/2 year old, and it was a piece of cake to take it on and off buses. As you know, the thing folds in one motion so it really was easy.

BTW, I'm complete in love with this stroller. We also have a BJ City Classic single and I want to upgrade to the single Elite. I just can't seem to justify the expense, however, since we already have the Elite double and there is nothing wrong with our Classic.

I can't say enough great things about it!!! Glad you had no problems with the Elite Double. I can't get over all the nooks and crannies! It is an awesome stroller!!

Thanks for the all the responses! A couple posters mentioned the Combi sport. I have seen a lot of people pushing these around, but my DS who is 3 is just too big for it. He is tall for his age.
