We're renting a stroller from A Baby's Best Friend and I'm wondering if a double side by side would fit my DD1 (she'll be 2 when we go to WDW in May, currently 33" and 25 lbs.) and DD3 (she'll be 4 next month, shes currently 42" and 42.5 lbs.). Since my DD3 is tall - I'm wondering if she'd fit in a double stroller - her head may "hit" the sun shade thingy. I think DD3 is probably too big.

I have to find a store nearby to try one out I guess - I've looked around and so far have not seen many side by side doubles. We have a Babies R Us about 2 hours away maybe we need to take a road trip. Not so sure on the sit n' stand variety - we did try one of those and both DDs loved it but DD3 did say " I can't see where we're going". All she could see was my legs!

Thanks for any info. It looks like we need to go for a road trip and try out more strollers - won't my DH be happy! :rotfl2:

We rented that exact stroller from BBF in May of 05 for our DDs 2 and 4 (36 and 45 inches) they fit fine I think the canopy grazed DD 4 head when we moved it but otherwise they were both very comfy - even slept in it everyday (we don't do breaks) It was also good for the parades because both girls had front row seats, the basket underneath was large enough to hold our backpack and camera bag, and the seats reclined separately so if one fell asleep the other was still comfortable. We also did not have any problems with hte stroller fitting through doors, or in the shops, we tried to get into the handicapped car on the monorail if possible or we just folded it up, or took the ferry we really had no problems with it at all.

You may also consider renting 2 small, lightweight strollers in case you and dh need to split up for any reason, that's what we did and it worked great for us! We went in May too! Have a great trip!

My son will be 5 in October...43 inches, 43 pounds. He fits FINE...with room! We have a Maclaren Twin Traveler. It works out GREAT! :thumbsup2

I guess it depends on the brand of stroller. I use a double side by side with my 9month old and 3 (4 in Nov) year old. The 3 yo is very tall and fits fine, we have a combi. Both the combi and Maclaren have taller sun shades.
