Double stroller vs. two separate strollers- what worked for you?

Hi, we are finally getting ready for our Disneyland trip! yippee!
I would really hate to arrive in Anaheim after a long road trip and regret bringing the wrong stroller(s). I have a 5 yr old, 2 1/2 year old and an 11 month old. Just wondering if anyone had a similar situation and what worked or didn't work... Any thoughts or suggestions would really help!
Thanks in advance,
:cutie:

We traveled with our six kids which included a 4 yo and 2 yo and we brought our double stroller. It worked out great because when Dh or I would take the older kids on older kid rides we only had one stroller to push with the younger two to explore something else. But it depends on your traveling style so you might want to have two seperate strollers, but the double worked great for us.

With having three, I would bring your double for your little ones, and rent a single stroller at DL for your 5yr old (that is assuming that you have two adults on your trip to push ;o). My 5yr old, still needs a stroller when we go to Disneyland. The walking all day really wares on her little legs, plus I like knowing where she is at all times on crowded days, and I like having a place to put all my stuff.

We've done both and personally we liked the single strollers. We found it MUCH easier to get around the people with the singles. Our double is the Graco DuoGlider and pushes easily but it was just too much to have to move around with the crowds - or at least to make a quick move in order not to hit someone. Our kids' age gap is like your 5 and 2.5 year old so I'm assuming you'll all be wanting to stay together anyways like we did.

Do be sure to mark your stroller/s with something you can easily spot in the parked crowd of strollers (like a bright ribbon) :rotfl: It's kindof like at baggage claim where everyone's suitcases look the same.

Thanks for the suggestions! In the past I have used two lightweight strollers and yes, it has helped with making our way smoothly and quickly in crowds... My double stroller is a bit heavy- which is what made me hesitant towards that, but I do like the convenience of one person being able to strap down two curious toddlers! Decisions.
Thanks again for the thoughts and tips (bright colored ribbons) I didn't think about that. ;)

We have a 4 1/2 years old and a 1 1/2 year old and decided to bring a single stroller with us on this trip because it is much easier to maneuver and is more compact to travel with. When we get to DL, we can always rent a stroller. If you already brought a double, I would just bring the double though and save money on purchasing one. Have fun!
