Double Stroller Rental From Orlando Strollers

i was wondering if anyone ever rented the double stroller from orlando stroller rentals---it is half the price of disney's and looks way more comfortable---i was just wondering if it is a huge hassle to fold and drag on and off boats/buses---i have a 55 lb 6 year old and a 40 lb 4 year old and i am totally afraid to not get a double stroller---i would rather fork over the money than listen to the whining

I will probably be in the minority here, but YES. It is a HUGE hassle. And I've tried several different strollers, as well as the Disney ones and I'd go with the Disney strollers every time. They are so much easier than trying to push a regular stroller around the parks, especially with bigger little ones.

They are expensive, but this is what I'm trying this year....rather than 2 singles (we NEVER do a double b/c of the fighting factor), I'm going to get just 1 and they can take turns. I enountered a lot of "I want to get out and walk" from my DS6 and DD4 last trip (in Nov) so I thought I'd give this a try. *fingers crossed!*

We had that same stroller and it was a little of a hassle (but DH dealt with it while I corralled the kids) BUT it was invaluable for us to have the stroller for walking around the resort and riding the monorail, instead of having to leave it at the parks. Since we were at the Contemporary and b/c our youngest would nap in it - we wouldn't have to wake him if we were riding the monorail. Or carry a heavy 1yo who wasn't walking yet! But I bet with the older kids you don't have to worry about the nap situation or the walking situation!!!

I absolutely love the double stroller from Orlando Stroller Rentals. I have used it twice now (Oct08 and June09). My boys were 3 and 6yo, then 4 and 6yo. They were 40in/43lbs and 48in/48lbs. I thought the stroller was so easy to handle, turn and fold. It was just me without DH for both trips, so I really needed a stroller when the boys were tired. I had no interest in using the hard/uncomfortable/expensive Disney strollers and I did not want to buy a stroller just for the trip. So renting a stroller was perfect for me!!

I never got any strange looks or negative comments about my boys in a stroller. I did get several comments how people loved that stroller and loved OSR. Overall, it was a fabulous and really made it a much easier trip for me.

You know your kids and your family's needs. I'm sure you'll find the right answer. Have a wonderful trip!!
