Hello! I am a proud aunt of an almost 4 year old and a 16 month old.
My sister is very much in need of a new stroller. We are planning a big Disney trip in 2011 (seems so far away but I manage to still be excited for it
) but even still she needs this for day to day use as well. My store options for where I live is limited, so I've come to the conclusion I will more than likely purchase one online. I have gone to every store in town that sells double strollers (Toys R Us, Target, Burlington, etc) and try sitting the kids in the strollers to test them out. Thats when trouble strikes. The 4 year old (few months shy) is too tall for all of them. His head doesn't fit under the sun shades or when it reclines he hits the material or bar, etc. I have not been able to find anything that fits the criteria I am looking for...
1. Double Stroller
2. Light weight
3. Tall enough for toddlers
4. Reclines
5. Will not cost me a small fortune
6. Will not break my back leaning over to push it. I am 5'8" and some of these strollers are just silly with how short the handles are.
I am willing to pay for a good stroller, but some of these $500 ones are out of the question. I hear so many good things about the Maclaren strollers, but there are not any double in store for me to try. I would prefer to not have to buy one online only to end up having to pay to ship it back.
Can anyone confirm that the Maclarens are good for taller children as well? Any other suggestions perhaps?
Thanks!
