Double Rewards Points on Disney Visa!

I don't think it's random. From the posts I've seen, people who rarely use their card got the $150 or more deal. For people who use it regularly, it's $550 or $850 or nothing.

I don't think mine was random either. I use mine mostly at the DS and for catalog orders and rarely use it for anything else. I received the gas, dining, etc one. We will be using it for that with the double points. Our trip is in June and I plan on using it for all our dining charges I would have rather had the $150 reward one, but I'll take it.

I don't know how much info Bank One has available about our spending habits, but if they were to check our credit they would see that we have a Discover card and use it a lot. Like I said, I don't know if they have access to that info or not.

Well, I had to call and see if we were going to get this "perk" They said they had different reward programs for different people and we may get another offer soon. We did, blank checks to transfer balances!!!! We charge a lot on our airline miles card (we have taken 12 fee flights so far) and hardly use the Disney card at all, seems like they would like that business ( she agreed!) But since we pay it off every month, they make no money from us. Maybe next time!

Even if you pay off your balance, Bank One is still making money because the stores where the card is used pays a fee. That's why Discover wasn't taken lots of places at first because they charged stores more money.

I recently received a letter (not a postcard) with this same special offer running for 12 months, on all charges over $250. We have had our card for 1 year and are DVC members (noted on card) I've read the info regarding the earlier offer and wandered if anyone else has received this newer offer?

We usually vary our charges from $500-1000 and pay in full each month. But as noted before, there really doesn't seem to be any demographic rule of thumb on the previous offer.

Perhaps this is a test to see if we will use it more and carry a balance. I have definately used it a lot this month but will pay it off. I can clearly see how I could be tempted to exceed my budget since we have multiple trips with friends and family during the upcoming months and it would be easy to get caught up in the rewards promo.

Just curious, has anyone received the 1 year offer and did they apply 1% to the first $250 - 850 quoted and double the rest?

Unfortunaltey, at this time, I carry a balance.

I got an offer to use it for utilities, gas, groceries, etc with NO minimum limit.

Our offer was also for a year, but only on specific items like groceries, gas, etc. We also only get the double rewards on $ spent over our $2300 requirement. Really a joke if you ask me
