Double Rewards Points on Disney Visa!

IKWYM...I just paid off my May trip 2 weeks ago. Had I known, I'd have waited. Oh well...story of my life, always a dollar short and a day late.

On the bright side, I will put any UPCOMING expenses on the card and hopefully rack up some points for our May trip, plus use the card while on vacation and rack up points for our NEXT trip.

Always have to look on the bright side!!!

Hmmmm, so I am hoping that the $2,800 due March 19 for our DVC add-on will fall into this window. A pity I already charged two sets of plane tickets (May & Nov) at end-February. Maybe my spending level will be $1,150 to get doubled?

I sure hope I get one of these cards in the mail today. We average around $1500 a month on our card, so we could really rack up. Also, we may have to pay off our July trip a little early instead of waiting to check in. Thanks for the head's up.

I spoke to disney visa. I'm from massachusetts and she said I would receive the perk. she said it was 150 . We average over 2000 a month.

And I just bought our park hoppers and a bunch of meal vouchers a few days ago, bummer!

Question - Does anyone know if the monthly billing cycle will be used, I would think that would be easiest to calculate bonus rewards.

Or is it calendar month? Or some other dates? For example, my billing cycle ends on the 20th. If I'm eligible for this promo, does this mean that they will calculate double rewards for purchases over a certain amount between March 20th and April 20th? Or since the promo starts March 15th, would that be for purchases between March 15th and April 15th? I guess I can call them if I get the postcard but just wanted to see if anyone knew.

What number did you call. I called to Disney Visa as well. The girl I spoke with had never heard of the offer. She put me on old for about five minutes and still didn't know anything after conferring with colleagues. I'd like to know if we are going to be eligible. I'm getting ready to purchase our AP's but would definitely hold off a week if this offer is going to be available to us.

I also called Disney Visa and after being on hold for 5 minutes, was told they had no idea what I was talking about. Thought maybe it was a scam. I said I didn't think so as the DisVisa co. had sent the postcards. he told me to call again if I got one.....

I talked to a friend of mine tonight who lives down the street from me, and she got the post card, too, with the same amount as me $150. I wonder if they are going by area?

Just got off the phone with a Disney Rewards info person at 1-800-436-7999.
The nice BankOne Rep explained to me that the mailings are selective and are tided to the individual card account.
He suggested that each individual goto the website that is printed on the back of the individual card and logon.
After doing so, scroll down to the area marked Added Disney Offers where your own individual promos will be listed.
He said this page was to backup errors with the mailings going to the correct person.
I suggest you logon or give them a call, I bought into a promo he offered me with the guaranty of my money back if I wish to quit the promo.

I got the same offer as ibidforit. No minimum amount, but the purchases must be classified by VISA as gas, groceries, dining, insurance, utilities, and wireless services.

I'm a Disney Visa Card holder and have been trying very hard to earn reward dollars. When I read about those of you receiving postcards, I became very excited and started planning what I could charge and when.

Then I read where the poster called the credit card co and was told that these were randomly done. UGH!! That doesn't seem fair! I'm crying "discrimination" and "foul" and other things!!

MK Familystone mentioned calling to inquire about this - and that he did "buy into" a promotion. What was this about??

the only offer i got with my bill is "Earn double disney dream reward dollars with the purchase of disny's resort magic vaction package to the disneyland resort."

I probably spend too much a month($1200-$2000) to get the other offers others have posted.

I do not think this is fair I have been a using my card regularly since day one and I don't get nice bonus.


I am going to disney world in august and this won't help me at all!!
I have 260 points so far. Going to use them for food.

I looked under my "other offers on my bankone disney account and the only thing there is a discount on a rental car for Alamo or National good only til 7/4/04 so I can't use it.

The Rep at BankOne said each offer is linked to each individual account , like if you get 2% Rewards for a period of time like some here who have mention. not everyone has that benefit.
I am a Charter Member which the Rep mentioned, I thought ALL DisneyVisa's were Charter Member ?
These promos for the Visa looks like the various discount codes for WDW, ex. AP, FLA residents, AAA, Military, etc.
I recommend calling BankOne to clairify any questions partaining to your own account.

I got my card today and it also does not mention a minimum dollar amount. However, the 2% reward is only for gas, utilities, wireless phone, insurance, groceries and dining out.

Too bad the rewards don't start until 3/15. I just paid my wireless bill. That's what I get for being prompt with my payments!

DH and I both have Disney Visas.. he got the promo for the gas, grocieries, dining.. I got 0... Hmm maybe I charge too much on mine and he doesn't... guess we will use his for the promo period..

No, it hasn't. I had pretty much figured that I wasn't going to get this offer either, since it wasn't there on the website for me. Then I got today's mail and there it ws...a red and white mailer with the the "ears" on it.

I guess they think I need to purchase more gas and groceries with the card.

I live in Indiana and received the gas, dining, utilities, etc one also!
