double ressies

Is there a rule against booking two different weeks, same days, a week apart and then cancelling a ressie once I find out which week I will use? I'm asking because my wife doesn't know her vacation dates until January, and I want to reserve for May at GCV if I buy. I know she will be able to get a week in May but I dont know which week, so I thought I should do this to better my shot at getting a vacation. What do you guys think?

There is no rule against it. Just be sure to cancel the unused reservation early enough that the points don't into holding status and you can bank the extra. Also I wouldn't borrow points from a following use year to make a tentative reservation.
