Double Resort clarification

If I own 200 points at SSR and 200 points at OKW, I can only book 200 points at SSR at the 11 month window - I've got that part. Then, I can add on ressies for the 200 OKW points at SSR at the 7 month window. Is there any guarantee that I will be able to add on those points, since I've got a reservation in already; or can an SSR owner get their ressie in and bump me out - limiting me to using the 200 at SSR, then moving to OKW - or wherever else I can get in at the 7 month window.

I have points at BCV and SSR. If I know that the time I am going is high demand, I will borrow BCV points from the future year so I can assure I get my entire vacation booked at BCV. Then just keep in mind that I have my current year and next years points for SSR. Almost like an alternating plan each year. SSR is big, so depending when you go, you might not have trouble at the 7 month window.

In theory, yes, what you've described can happen. The only special preference you get as an SSR owner is that you can book with your SSR points 4 months ahead of owners at other resorts. After that, as senecabeach said, all points are equal.

In reality, though, I don't think you'll run into that problem at SSR or OKW. Those are by far the largest DVC resorts on property, and are the last to get completely booked up. At 7 months, there should still be plenty of availability at SSR or OKW.

Now that I think about it, there are two possible exceptions to this:

1. Grand villas - I don't know how many GVs there are at OKW or SSR, but I know they're very limited and they get snapped up quickly.

2. The first couple of weeks of December - very, very busy time at all DVC resorts. I don't know for sure that you'd have trouble booking at 7 months at OKW/SSR for this time, but others will be able to fill in the details.
