Has anyone tried this. I am thinking of bringing one that folds but is still large wondering if it is possible or anyone tried it. We are going in three weeks so kind of slower time I hope!!

We have done this twice- both in the off season. Once was at the end of January -that is when you are going right? I definitely would not recommended when it is really busy, but it worked out great for us being a slower time and all. My husband had it down and folded pretty quickly. Often taking the back wheels off if the bus was full so that it would take less space.

Thank you that is what we were hoping to do. We can buy one used for pretty cheap. It will cost us almost 170 to rent one for our whole stay but this would give us one from the hotel at the airport etc. Thank you again for response.

It is definitely a plus to take your own stroller than to use the park ones. No matter how big the stroller is, yes that can be a headache - we used a double on our last trip, but its easier to stick the kids in and take off. It takes alot of energy for them to stay focused and to walk from the resort to the bus area and to and from the park entrances! When we needed to speed up, we plop the little ones in and off we went - even our 6 year old! Although the lifting of the stroller unto and off the buses becomes tiresome, think about what it would be like to carry the little ones! I was usually the one in charge of the stroller while DH took care of the kids. I actually had gentlemen offering to carry the strollers on the bus for me! Ah, that Disney Magic :goodvibes

We went the 2nd week in December and maybe once or twice, the bus was crowded, but I think that was on the weekend or the beginning of the week. There were times the bus wasn't even 1/2 full.

Just give yourself time to fold up the stroller BEFORE the bus arrives.

We have a double Pergo that is an umbrella. We took it on the bus for two days and made a vow to rent a car from that point forward until we no longer need strollers. It was very hard carrying the stroller and managing the two kids (who were younger then)

Have you considered where you are going to put it in the hotel room???

The one we are looking at folds pretty flat. The thing is my daughters are 3( weighs 27 lbs very small) and 6 (weights 47 lbs) I do not want to go out and spend huge money on a new stroller just for disney nor do I want to throw 180 away on renting one. I would like to buy one used then resell when we get back. I know we could just use two umbrella strollers but I like the added comfort of reclining seats. I am not able to find a stroller that holds my older daughters weight except jogging strollers. I know my oldest will walk some but she gets tired walking around the mall and would like to have a place for her to rest. Any suggestions would be greatly accepted! Thank you!!!!

We stayed at ALMo both times we took our double jogging stroller. We just parked it right in front of the window. THere was plenty of room for it, and remember those rooms are SMALL! If I was going to be hanging out in my room a lot, then I wouldn't be happy with that , but the only time the stroller was in there was when we were in bed, so it didn't matter any way.

It was great to have it at the airport and gate check it!

The only problem that we ran into was one night and one afternoon when both the kids had fallen asleep and we were leaving the park. I had to maneuver both kids while my husband folded and took care of the stroller. THe first time we were lucky to have a gentleman offer to hold the stoller on the bus for us so my husband could take a kid!

Our thought in taking it both times was that if we saw that it was too much of a pain to do, then we would leave it folded in the hotel room and just rent one. Luckily it worked out both times for us.

I was under the impression, for some reason, that joggers have to have a swiveling front wheel to be used in the parks. Even if that isn't a rule, having to lift the front wheel all the time in order to steer would be awful.

We have only been in busy times, and with a MacLaren regular stroller which folds pretty small....I would not ever, ever want to try to deal with a jogger (especially a double jogger) on the WDW buses!! The bigger wheel would make it really tough to keep out of the way.

Also, watch closely in crowds. That front wheel is low, and waaaaay out in front. Steer carefully, because pedestrians who don't know how joggers are set up might walk into that front wheel.

Are you sure a single MacLaren or something wouldn't work for you guys? We did that last August, mostly for the turning-4-yr-old, but then the 6 yr old could take turns for rest here and there (he never did, though).

when are you going....I know there have been stoller swaps on this board before. We haven't gotten rid of the double yet because we're deciding if we are going to go or not. Maybe someone else is getting a last use out of a double and can leave it for you when you get there.

A reclining maclaren single might work for you guys. We have a similar problem in that DS sometimes gets tired, but we don't bring a stroller for him. We let him ride in DD's, and DD takes a turn walking or riding on daddy's shoulders.

That's a tough one! At least you shouldn't have to worry about crowds. Good luck.
