Definitely need logo and lime green shirts <G> I have made something for my June 07 and Sept 07 cruise. Some instead of putting design/logo on a tshirt are going to wear them like name badges, something you can put in your lanyard cardholder.

"Double Dip Delight" is a good name, now to draw a theme logo around that unless going to up come with another name.

Thankfully we have over a year to made decisions, someone create the design etc.... <G>

Maybe ppl could start listing their ideas for the logo?

I'm glad to hear people are bringing their moms/dads. My parents will be going with us too! We had to drag them the first time they came with us about three years ago. They liked it so much that they took our whole family on the Disney Wonder for my father's 75th birthday the following year.

Wow! We booked a while back but didn't realize this voyage had such a following! DW and I will be on our 4th DCL cruise with DS who'll be 4, and my Mom will be across the hall. I think She's more excited than us!

How about Ice cream scoops??? Just make sure they are not "side by side" on the front with cherries on top ala "Calendar Girls" :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I really want to get involved with the Fish Extender giving. I've been looking on-line at Oriental Trading (OT), and have found some decent Pirate related novelty toys, flags, stickers, temporary tatoos, eyepatches, etc. There are several items at decent prices. Of course there's also tropical themed items that would be fun, too. So for others who may be thinking about what to put in the Fish Extender wall pocket hangings, OT would be another great source for goodies in addition to dollar stores that I've seen other people mention on these boards. So.....there's one more thing that's going into my cruise planning journal! :thumbsup2

One more thought...I've also read some posts from people who have said that some kids have had sad faces on-deck because their parents didn't know about the on-deck Pirate's Party and wanted to be dressed up like some other kids. Of course they'll get their bandana at dinner, yet one person mentioned she brought some inexpensive pirate flags (which I saw on OT's website) to pass out on deck, which brightened up some faces as they had yet one more thing make their Pirate Party special....what a gracious idea!

Does anyone else have ideas they would like to share?

at Michael's craft store they often have foamie pirate swords for like a dollar or so. they are basic black, but one can add gold paint to decorate, or had stickers, etc...... easy to back and kids would love those esp the ones that aren't dressed up or have anything pirate'y

Also watch at Target in their 1.00 section. Last cruise they had plastic pirate ships (small) but were cute. I took one and set on table for dinner. I have seen a few lately but again its something you just have to luck upon.

dollar stores often have pirate eye patches for a buck. again easy to pack and kids would like that to go with their dinner bandana.

dollar stores, the ones that everything is a dollar amazing what can find there in toys. never know what may find.

I haven't been able to keep up much with this thread recently. sorry.

so I am a little lost.

i read about the I think extenders. i want to be involved is possible although will be going solo (unless get someone to finally agree to go. ya know just don't get my friends reason unable to go is money LOL) Like I have money to go NOT!!! i have credit cards LOL.

I have 3night coming in June. 7 night this Sept, will book Mar 08 during June cruise, and the this cruise. Decided going to cruise 3 night in Mar and 7 nights in Sept as long as I possibly can. And hey Sept I just have to cruise to celebrate getting older <G>

I don't remember what i have posted or not posted here since I am trying to keep up posting in 3 other cruise threads. Anyway I rec'd my new power chair with rehab seating last week. Will or should get my new conversion minvan next week HOORAY!!!!!! Contractors coming next week to put in sidewalk, extend door landing, put in off set hinges on inside doors, then May 14th ramp should be delivered. Then installed that day or next day.DOUBLE HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So although I am planning for June cruise right now, then Sept 07 cruise, then Mar 08, and finally Sept 08. It's got to get easier planning and preparing each time right????? So by Sept 08 I shouldn't have to do much put throw things into suitcase, ya think? Well besides do a cruise specific design DIS iron on a tshirt.

So I haven't forgotten you guys, and apologize for not keeping up with posts, but believe me as time gets closer you will probably be wishing i would just shut up LOL.

hope everyone is doing well. have vacations planned for this summer/fall. and are enjoying life.

later

Kimberly, thanks for the ideas! I am excited to start looking!

Marsha, congrats on your "upward mobility!" Sounds like you'll have alot more fun!

Hi everyone,

I have been looking into the fish extender idea. I didn't find any on ebay right now, and I don't sew, but could probably fake it enough to make something that might resemble one...somewhat..:rotfl2:

LOL! But what I was wondering was how do you find them to put the gifts in them? Do you have a list of the dis stateroom #'s, or do you just roam the ship looking for extenders? Do certain dis'ers do only certain dis'ers and then switch up the next day or do you need a variety of different trinkets to do eerybody everyday?

Thanks alot! This sounds like fun!!!:goodvibes

Good question, Jen! I was thinking about that as well. There have been many people here who have posted their room number. I also was thinking that I imagine most people who will have them are probably on these boards anyways...or they are not DCL newbies like I am.

I went to Jo-Ann's today and found some great Disney fabrics. I'm not a great seamstress myself, but this seems easy enought to try. There's another thread out here called "Fish Extenders?" that give some suggested dimensions and several pics. So I think I'm going to try making one with cheap fabric, and once I get that right, I'm going to make one with the fabric I found today. I'm so excited about this idea, and we still have 510 days before it will be used! :rotfl:

Anyways, there are so many great people on this board, I can't wait to spread some Disney DIS cheer in someone's FE!

 Hi Jen,I've been looking for fish extenders since I read about them here and I finally found them on e-bay under shoe organizers. Hope this helps!

If you don't sew and it comes to making one, you can get some great iron-on tape to seal the seams. Iron the rough edges in and then attach the pockets with this tape. It really holds well.

Our new DGS has arrived!!! Mason James, who is listed on the first page, was born on Fri, May 4th - 6lbs,9oz - of course he is really cute!!! Very tiny - cries like a kitten;) But he and mommy are doing great - they went home today.

Now we are waiting for the last member of our crew, our DGD Londynn, who is due Aug 2. :cloud9:

Thats Wonderful!!!!!!

Thanks guys...

I may try to make one, it sounds like fun...It just might look a little funky!
The iron-on tape will definetly be better than me sewing! HA!

Or an ebay "shoe organizer" if I have to give up!:cool1:

I try to be crafty, it just doesn't always work out!:cutie:

Let us know how it turns out, Jen! I'll certainly put your family on my FE receiving list! I'm pretty crafty, so I'm feeling pretty confident me and the sewing machine will become one. LOL The challenge for me will be seeing how to make the pleat so the pockets extend out a bit. So it sounds like our Double Dip Delight cruise will have some takers on the Fish Extender cruise adventure! That's exciting!

We just upgraded from Category 9 to 8 today... only $80 more total. :cool1:

We're now in cabin 6020 if you'd like to update us on post #1. :goodvibes
