We will be at the beach very early too. Dh is the one who sunburns very easily. (he will be the one with a shirt on in the sand. :) the girls will eventually tan like me, as for ds, he has totally different skin, he is really tan right now. go figure.
Anyone know what time the kids clubs will be open on CC???

Our football team isnt on until Monday night, formal night. hmmmm maybe dh will have to wear his Steeler tie that night.:rotfl:

Gramto3--I bet you (being the very awespome crafty type) will figure out a fantastic was to cope with the FE mess (but I do undersatnd it must be highly frustrating in the moment).

Brandie (and other vampires:rotfl: ) you will also find us in the shade--just becuase we are not sun worshippers. However, although we are very big on sunscreen--niether kid has ever burned even without and you can all be very jealous of the fabulous Bronz tone Marika gets totally naturally after about 5 minutes on the beach (I know i am jealous):rotfl:

We bought DH a swimshirt last night at Target:rotfl: I think its on of those drywick for working out, but it feels just the kids swimshirts! he burns VERY easily. I usually burn but we joined a swim club this year and I am a bit tan:scared1:

Marika and rkandmjsmommy: *pllllbbbtttthhhh!* :rotfl:

The rest of you people commiserating with me are also cracking me up.

HEHE, I swear usually I am a glass of milk, I wear TONS of sunscreen, the highest SPF there is and a T shirt, but this year since we spend most of our days at the pool, I am working on a BIT of a tan, dont get me wrong, I am NO bronzed beauty but there is a little color!
For the Record I usually *plllllllbbbttttthhhhh other tan people, so its OK Brandie, I understand envious:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl:

You will need to race us to the front of the line!! See ya there, Lois

We'll see you at the front of the line too! That is if I can get my coffee early enough to wake up and get everyone else moving! :rotfl:

I've been working on our packing list and other information and was wondering if anyone knew what the procedure is for checking the kids into the kids club the first time.

I've already filled out the online stuff, but isn't there a way to get them signed up at the port waiting to board? Also what time do they open or have orientation after you board? I guess I could just get my Passporter back out and start marking the pages to answer my own questions, but everyone here is so good at answering questions quickly I thought I'd ask first.

I finished bagging my FE gifts today! Now I just have to make a tag and put them in my suitcase! ONE MORE THING OFF MY LIST!!!!!!

We went to Burlington Coat Factory a couple of days ago and found Grady a Tux shirt for under $10.00! Thank you Hadley for the idea to check there! We also picked up his black dress shoes and a pair of shoes for Megan's outfit. The thing is I had found the dress I wanted to buy Megan, but not in her size, but the shoes were perfect! Well, I ended up buying the dress 3 sizes too big and altering it for her! Now we all have our formal night attire! AND ANOTHER THING OFF MY LIST!!!!

Ok .... I'm weird. I am SO not into the formal night thing. :( I don't mind dressing up my dd, but me .... I just HATE the thought.

Heck ... I even wear jeans to church....

I'm really weird, right?

Nah, several on this thread are the same way. Don't worry about it. :)

Nope..I'm wearing pants. Flat out told Hubby that he could do the tux if he wanted but I was going to be in pants or else.

I'm glad to hear I won't be the only one glowing in the dark on this cruise! I tan a little (underline, stress LITTLE), but am more likely to burn. I'm planning on getting the clear zinc oxide for my nose & cheeks as they are usually really bad for burning. DD on the other hand - the child browns up so easy, its not funny. DH keeps saying all the other girls are going to be very envious of her easy dark tan once she gets a little older. DH is pretty pale like me, but does tan a bit. So look for the 3 of us - 2 really white adults & one really brown china girl. :rotfl:

I think I've read that you can check them in / get the pager at the terminal if you like, but that the lines there can be really long. Otherwise, you can get them onboard. The clubs are open in the evening the 1st night, but its officially family night (or something like that). I don't recall if they are open before that or not - if so, I think it would just be to pick up pagers, not to drop off kids. Its supposed to be set up for parents to stay w/the kids so the kids can get accustomed to the clubs. However, I do remember reading that you can ask to leave after a bit & leave kiddos - that's not advertised though. There was a thread on this a while back on the main boards I think. Again, this is going from memory, so it may be a bit off (my memory, not me). :)

Heck ... I even wear jeans to church....

We wear jeans to church a lot, too! One of the many things I love about our contemporary service - how relaxed & not up-tight it is. It would be a different matter in our traditional service though. :upsidedow

Oh good!!! So glad to hear that. I thought that I was the only one that would feel this way. I just hate dressing up. Thanks for letting me know!!

Believe it or not, I'm the rebel that wears jeans to the 'Blended' or traditional services, too. I worked with 2 year olds in Sunday school for so long and decided it was dumb for me to dress up to sit on the floor, paint, and play with the little ones. Besides, I wanted other people to feel comfortable in our church and some just can't afford something dressy for one day a week.

Basically, I'm just a rebel at heart .... :rolleyes1

Not weird at all, I am not a big fan of dressing up, I do have a black dress in my closet so I will wear that, but I would not have gone out for a fancy dress

nope, you will be fine:)

Thanks soooooo much! I may get a black dress, but I'm really aiming for a pair of pants (and will be wishing it was a pair of jeans or shorts!!!!). I am so NOT comfortable in dressy clothes .......... and I really have no idea why.

Nope you are not alone. I use to LOVE dressing up...then I had a child and somehow the thought of dealing with him in fancy dress just makes me exhausted.

my pants are comfy sueded black fabric and I have a pretty tunic top from Lane Bryant in grey...if that helps you any :cool1: oh and for the record I don't do heels either so I'll be in black flats of some sort. Funny, I will do head to toe renissance dressing for our local festival but formal freaks me out.

I will be in pants too, nothing fancy here. Last year we did the whole fancy dresses etc etc, and the picture didnt turn out that great. Our informal pics, awesome and we were comfy. :) I dont own a pair of heels, how pathetic is that? ( at 5'8 dont really need 'em)

Dh is only wearing a long sleeve shirt/ tie. he wears polo/golf style shirts to work now. the suits and dress clothes take up soo much room in the suitcases.

Kudos to those who love to dress up. :)

It would be a real shame if he doesn't get to be a starter on another team or worse yet be a starter and have a bad season. Just my opinion.:sad2:

If he goes to another team he will definately be the starting QB. From what I have heard, the main reason why he may not be coming back to Greenbay is because he would probably be second string to give Aaron Rogers a shot at being starter.

Tanning: I love the sun! Being from Oregon, we get very few sunny and warm months out of the year. So, on those 90-100 degree days when everyone else is complaining and wishing for cooler weather, I am loving it  :cool1: My husband works outside so he gets such a deep tan during the summer, that it lasts all through the winter! Me on the other hand am pretty pale naturally. I can get really dark, it just takes a lot of work, time and $$ :rolleyes1

I don't know what's going on in 'football world'...DH just texted me that Farve could be signed on to Tampa in the next 24 hours...hmmm....Arin this is going to be one interesting 'Sunday' game :happytv: on the ship if that's the case...better wear your 'GB war' paint! :woohoo:
