"Double Dip Delight" 09.27.2008 - Take 3!

Today is my DBF and my 2nd anniversary together! It's so exciting! We're going to have dinner and then just spend the evening together. We met on Dismates.com and actually started talking through PMs here on the Dis. Well, that happened after I searched his name and then went through like 20 pages of posts to find him, joined the Dis and THEN finally PMed him. Then 2 years ago today we met and had our first date and the rest is history! He truly is my Prince Charming and I am so excited to see him tonight!

Just had to share that!

Then again I am losing my mind. Today after work I had to go dumpster diving cause I accidentally threw away my cell phone. I did find it but they had aready compacted it and the lcd blew. If that isn't fun I don't know what is...

Doug once dropped his cell phone down the elevator shaft. He said he saw it drop through the crack while the door was open and then it was very quiet before he heard the thump - clang of it hitting the floor. He waited 2 days before going to building services to see if someone could look in the shaft and get his phone. He got it back that day with a quarter taped to the back of it. The funny thing was that it still worked!

Favorite food in WDW is the Zebra Domes at AKL!!! You can get them with your snack credit in the snack bar downstairs or eat as many as you can hold at Boma's. YUM! YUM! I may have to slip over there on Friday before the cruise for a little treat!

Is anyone else here going to cancel their Tea ressie? Could you PM me first so I can go right there and nab it!

I keep hoping that Disney will open another day - even a port day so more of us can get in there. See ya'all at the Rockin D!

I have a few questions about onboard credit:

1. The kids have saved up their own money, can I put it on their card so they can spend it? They will be with us whenever they want to spend so it wont be a free for all. Also would it be better to bring cash or get a disney gift card?

I dont want to allow my boys charging privliges only for the fact the loose things LOL. They will be with us also when they buy things but Im more worried on the card being lost and them being afraid to tell me then millions of dollars charged later we find out lol

SO This is what im doing for both boys. They will have a wallet (It was a dollar find at Target with the Cars on it) Im giving them $30 each from us, along with my mom, gma and aunts and all given them money/disney gift cards. So they can buy what they want. But in their wallets is going to be fake money (again found this at the dollar store even fake change) Then when they want to buy something they give me the "money", it gets charged to our account on either mine or E's card. Then once the money is gone.. THATS IT! This way it also will teach them the value of money, how to prioritize what they want, and math. Just an idea for you!

Jen- Ive dropped my phone in the toilet... well I didnt but I left it where at that time small hands grabbed it made a run for it and FLUSH.... it still worked I just used the hairdryer on it LOL. Then In March when we went snowboarding I had it in my back pocket and after man falls down I thought hmm why does my rt check hurt.. OHHH YA PHONE.. I had totally smashed my screen.. LOL

Also favorite foods from Disney, when we go to the LAND (not world LOL) Right before the parade starts we head to the bakery and I get a hot cinnamon roll with milk, P gets a brownie, and J a big cookie, E a rice crispy treat! ... and we all love churos all day LMAO

hi! we are on this double dip too and wanted to know if anybody booked the dolphin encounter in Cozumel in the afternoon? The only space available is the 3h30 PM and I'm worried this is too late? Thank you!

Hi, we are also on the 3:30 and am a little worried too. If the time that we leave Cozumel stays at 6:30 I think we should be fine. Anybody think that will change? That's the only thing I am worried about. I did email the company and they told me to send them an email a month before to see if any slots open up. He said sometimes they have a lot of people and open up another area. We are planning on going early and looking around the park then going to the dolphins and coming back. It should only be an hour at the most. Even if it's 2 hours I think we will be okay.

Since we are going to the Dolphin Encounter, I have been keeping track of others who are also going.

There have been some discussions here as to if this 3:30 slot is too late or not. Tonya (googles111) had the same concern. Did you book through DCL? If so, you'll have no worries as they will ensure you're returned to the ship safe and sound. All on-board is at 6:30, so if you booked on your own, you'll certainly not want to waste any time leaving to ensure you get a cab and your ride back!

No, no it's all good.....if peopel want the air conditioning and the bar..that's totally cool...just Hadley's family and Jason and I won't be there becuase we never miss the sailaway party! We're bubble blowing line dancing mickey screaming fools!!

Well, it USED to be those tollhouse ice cream cookie sandwiches, but we can never find them any more!

Yum!! When I was younger we used to buy the ice cream sandwiches and they had the mini chocolate chips in them. Yum! I can't find them anymore.

Oh and that reminds me too. Have any of you ever heard of cookies called "Yum Yums" I used to buy these cookies and I think they were from Sunshine (about 20 year ago). They were in a box like the wheat thin type box. They were a small rectangle cookie and had carmel and chocolate over the top with coconut. They are like the girl scout cookies. Anyways, sorry bought back childhood memories and I want some! LOL

Okay...FIRST of all, you are not a jerk!!! I assure you that just about all of us have asked questions that were repeating from others! I know I can speak for everyone to say "No worries whatsoever!"

In fact, your question is very timely. We've been more actively talking about when and where in the past week. I know you're signed up for the website, so on the home page, you can vote on a poll for your preferred location anad time. Here are the options:

1. Promenade Lounge: 3:00 pm followed by Muster Drill at 4:00 and Sail Away party around 5:00
   
   • air conditioning, seating, and longer visiting time
2. Deck 10: Immediately after Muster Drill (so approximately 4:30) and before Sail Away party around 5:00
   
   • sunshine, fresh air, no seating, and likely a shorter visiting time (aka in Epperbiker's words, " 'the baking sun and incredible humidity that has your clothes drenched in 10 minutes even if there's not a thunderstorm going on at the moment' weather.")

Now, where to get a FE. My DD (11) has been interested in sewing lately, so I may put her on the project. We can pick out Disney materials at Wal-Mart and let her do it however she wants. I did see the ones on Ebay by gradysmommy, so that's my second option if DD decides not to undertake the project!

I have flushed four...yes *FOUR* cell phones, including the one I had right before I got the one I threw away...last week! I baked that one in the oven...it still worked but I hate not having a LCD...can't read texts or use mobile web..or play games...so now my secret mickey knows what to get me....Verizon please....ha ha ha ha

Speaking of Secret Mickey I am excited to get my name too......I've had an idea of what to do from the beginning and I think it is going to be a good fit! We shall see.....
