I said Hi to several of you or smiled when I saw you were wearing our logo landyard.. but with 12 people in our group it was hard to sit and relax anywhere.. :sad2:

I am hoping on the 9/12/09 cruise, since we will have less people, it will be easier for me to sneak away and hang out in the Cove or something with my fellow Dis'ers :thumbsup2

I saw you at the Meet and Greet.. and of course you were At the Bar ;)

Hey there, Jeff! Yes, she did finally get it. I think she said it arrived at her doorstep yesterday afternoon. She lives about 75 minutes from the Columbus airport, which is where we flew into. I told her about all you did to get it back to MCO so quickly. She said she had vmails from you guys (maybe your mom??) as well. Thank you SO much for taking care of that. Did your DM get her luggage?

I'm still feeling miserable, not unlike others here, it seems. Actually, maybe worse than last week. However, the antibotics I got in Cozumel did do their job in clearing up the yuckies from my lungs. I did pretty much NOTHING Sunday and have been getting 9 hours of sleep a night (unheard of here), yet still exhausted. I slept in my car for over an hour the past two days for my "lunch" time. I felt feverish today, too. DM said that DGM is now sick with a fever, however, I'm not suppose to know that. (shhhh)

I haven't made the time to elaborate on my gratitude to so many of you for the incredible FE gifts and gifts of other kinds. :grouphug: :lovestruc Thank you so much!!! I have been so touched by you guys in so many ways.

Well, I'm sitting here waiting for this contractor to come and turn our gas back on. While I was gone, they had to turn it off in the neighborhood, but need to come in your home to get it all turned back on. They were suppose to show up last night, but that didn't happen. I'm suspecting it's not going to happen tonight, either, because no one called me back today. GRRRR I'm getting a little tired of the cold hair washes and the cup-o-showers with boiling water from the range. I would LOVE a hot warm bath right now!!!! Thankfully the temps are not too low yet where I need to turn on the furnace. However, 49 degrees in the morning is a far cry from the 90s last week! I tell ya...if it is not one thing (powerless, for instance), it's another!

There has been discussions around service. I have to say I was pretty disappointed. I wasn't particularly thrilled with our stateroom host, Leonard. I never even saw him until Monday morning. DM and DGM saw him right before we went to dinner on Saturday night, but that was the first we knew of who was tending to our room that week. I thought we were going to have to leave a written note to let him know we needed the bed separated! Those of you around me, did you have stellar service? Our dining server was Angelina from Chile. She was awesome and very sincere. Our Assistant Server, Miki (I think from Sweden), however, wasn't on top of things. Our drinks ran low often and dishes were not cleared away very timely. Oh well....there are worse things that can happen! Sorry so many of you had issues with the kids' clubs. That bothers me, and I didn't have any little munchkins in there.

Since its a holiday weekend for me, maybe I'll get around to going through my pics and pass along photos of some of you that I captured sooner than later.

I was also wondering about TVEPFOX Michele's secret!!! Michele?????? Remember when I mentioned that she seemed to be dropping work-related comments about her vacation so often that I hoped she wasn't going to spend her cruise working her tail off? Her response was she had something she could share when we got on the ship. I saw you often, Michele, so I'm certain you had a lot of free, fun time, which is what matters!

I hope everyone gets to feeling better soon!!!

Kimberly,

I'm sorry to hear that you were not happy with Leonardo your stateroom host. My DD & DM had him in their cabin 7136 and were very pleased him. They admit he was not best they ever had, that would be Nicole from Jamaica. Sadly we found out she resighned.

My DS and I had Glenn for our stateroom. We saw him at least 2 to 3 times a day, always leaving the cabin **** and span. Stll not the best we ever had, that again would be Nicole and Jeryll, the Hostess we had last year. In my opinion the Hostesses do a better job than the Hosts. They are a little more picky and are a little more creative with the towel animals.

Our server Nikola was probably the best we ever had. Our Assnt. Server Ivana, was very sweet and very nice, but we did have to ask a few times for refills on our drinks. We had to ask Nikola for more cream once, but she was new and was really trying hard. She saw me at Castaway Cay walking back to the ship and remembered my name. I thought that was pretty good since I was not at are table with my family.

I have to make a comment about the family that sat with us. They were from Quebec, Canada and had the sweetest, well behaved two year old I've ever seen. I wish I could say the same thing about the table that sat next to us. They screamed and banged toys on the table all through dinner and they were older.

Kimberly I hope you will sail with Disney again some day. We have ALWAYS had the best service on this ship.

DH wants me to get the price on a Cat 3 and a Cat 6 for the 2010 Transatlantic Cruise- Westbound :woohoo:

Boy we may have a real group on that 2010 Westbound - DH has given the okay to look into it as well - in fact, he was like can we book with the 50% deposit :confused3

I don't know, sorry. I would hope so, that would be perfect!!!

I never did see you:( Crissi met you, I wanted her to point you out, I planned on coming by your room to meet you but never got the chance, I am glad you and yoru daughter stopped by to sign my door though!!!!
I never met Erika or the family from New Zealand, it seems I would run into the same people:
Amy/Dave/Melodie/Grandmom
Kimberly/Mom/Grandmom
Val and her gang
Joan and Ken and us were always seeing each other
Brandie a couple of times
Adrienne: doing wash
Carol was across teh hall, I dont know what her screen name was though, she had 2 boys!

For those that did meet me, wouldnt think I was shy, I dont like to go up and introduce myself, I hate the thought of people looking at me and having NO IDEA who I am! :confused3

There were several DISers that I saw from a distance, but didn't want to disturb. I felt a bit intrusive with some because I've not been on the thread as long as most of you have been. I was still able to meet so many of you, and I loved that opportunity. It added so much to my trip!

I did not see anyone...:confused3

:rotfl2: Yeah ... ok.

Charlie: I saw you a few times.. .I saw your girls Everywhere!! :)

We ran into the same people all the time too.

I saw E all the time, not Drea.

I never did get to meet Stacy. ( I did your Aunt though )

LOL! That's funny. I never saw them apart! LOL! (and he was never away from his hat ...... ).

Did anyone go walking every morning? I had every intention, just didnt happen. :rolleyes1

Not even a chance. Just never worked out for me.

So we saw Julie et al many times on the cruise, but they were always so busy I didn't want to interrupt. We only talked to two disers on Monday night when we were roaming the halls writing notes about missing mickey. But stupid me didn't even think to ask about screen names. Who are you? You need proper credit in the trip report!!!

Is anyone getting over the crud yet? I've been on antibiotics for 2 days now and I'm so sick of this that it's snot funny! :rotfl:

I saw Julie several times, too. I interrupted because I wanted to check on Alex and how the trip was going with him. I hope she was able to get a little rest!!!!

So sorry you're still sick!!! My youngest has it now. :(

I can totally relate. I has to be a much different experience when there are less people. We had 9, and it felt like a million! It was tough handling everyone.

Kimberly,

I have to make a comment about the family that sat with us. They were from Quebec, Canada and had the sweetest, well behaved two year old I've ever seen. I wish I could say the same thing about the table that sat next to us. They screamed and banged toys on the table all through dinner and they were older.

Were you sitting near us?? The family next to us was INSANE!!!!!!!!! Their boys (probably 6 - 10 years old) made airplanes out of the kids' menus and flew them across the restaurant!!!!!! They landed at other people's tables and in their chairs. It was awful. The parents were not paying one bit of attention to those kids - and did NOTHING when they did pay attention to them. It was miserable when they came to dinner. They were a large group, too - 5 or 6 kids.....

NOOOOOO but I dont want to... (ok tmrw I go back but still...)

Welp were back home. Just got back a few hours ago and had a great time ON the boat.... should have never got off or just gone straight home, not pass go, just collect our $200 rebooking onboard credit LOL.

Ill TRY and keep it short (you know thats hard for me though!)

It was great meeting everyone! I loved walking around the ship or in ports and waving hi to people or asking how your day was.

Also the boys (all 3) and I loved comeing back to our room and seeing our f/e finds! Thank you all:hug:

Stella thank you for our s/m stuff the boys loved it. Me too! :cloud9:

Cruise was GREAT we had an awesome time, our table mates were GREAT lol (Hi T how was the drive?) Our room steward was fantastic he was a trainie and we put in a great word for him. Dinner was good just always took FOREVER. Serve and assist serve were great.. assist finally started opening up like 2 days before we left joking and talking more.

Once we set foot off the ship.. thats when things went downhill...Limo I reserved never showed.. (FL TOURS). P got sick so E ended up staying with him back at the POP while J and I did DTD. We HAD 3days of parks planned but well E ended up talking with concierge and we ended up buying a 1 day pass since P felt better the next day. BUT E didnt. I lost my KTTW card and spazzed trying to find it.. ended up in tears.. then just went down to guest services to get a new one went to the MK and it rained, took a 3 hour tour on the monirail/busses/ferrys... lol Suffice to say....

we will never do a trip to the world AND a cruise. along with not during school time. Having to fit in school work sucked for all of us.

BUT we will be doing a vacation NEXT year back to the world to do the parks we did not do woohoo.... and in 2010.... another CRUISE!

Booked a dummy date for Sept 26th 2009. BUT looks like E wants to do the 12night Baltic. I would love to do the Eastern but unfortunatly its during school time and dont want to have to deal with kids and homework again.

Ok I think I best go help E hes unpacking and lord know how that will be LOL. I have very little laundry to do as well we took way to much :rolleyes1 and i did some at the pop inbetween dinning and swimming.

Off to get some quotes on the new cruises... Miss you all already! :(

EDIT TO ADD... just looked at the Baltic prices and airfair and we may be rethinking it all LOL.

also E was probably on the way to one of the bars to watch his presious Cowboys (hence hat always on, even asked if he could wear it on formal night UHH NO) when we were apart... or getting chicken strips. lol

Oh and Shell believe me he enjoyed blabbing on and on about the Corps! If Jaren has any questions please feel free to email me/us!

I can't believe how many of us got sick!!!

Drea I also had an issue with FL Tours (I think if the driver looked at himself in the mirror or fixed his hair one more time while driving 70 miles an hour I was going to scream!!!) and that wasn't even the big problem I had when we arrived at the port. I will never use them again sticking with rental cars or Happy Limo never had a problem with them.

NOOOOOO but I dont want to... (ok tmrw I go back but still...)

I'm so sorry that P got sick and that you have it now. NOT cool at all.

I'm not sure if you read back or if you're going to, but PLEASE make sure you tell E thank you SO much from myself and Jared. He was so kind to talk to Jared as much as he did. We both *really* appreciate it. You have a fantastic family and loved meeting you guys.

Sure hope the rest of your week gets better.

So nice to meet so many of you Thanks for all of the great FE gifts as well. I felt bad we never made it to the meets or the Group Photo. We had incredible servers and our stateroom host was great as well. Also we really enjoyed the shows and entertainment options on the ship. We wanted to do so much it was hard to decide each day because often everything we wanted to enjoy was at the same time! Our only real disappointment was with the Vista Spa and the only food menu we did not care for was the Golden Mickey's menu.

I thought there was a few things that could have been run smoother. The lines for Palo in Rockin' Bard D on Embarkation Day were not organized very well...they needed to have on line and as someone was finished the next person would be allowed to make reservations. There was a lady in front of me who was quite angry when they announced both brunch and the tea were full (someone who was in line after her was able to book it and she had been there longer). In addition we had a 10 top for dinner, but we were always the last to be serviced not sure if it was the large table or what, but staggered times for people to come into the dining room would have been nice like 8:00pm, 8:15pm, and 8:30pm because it seemed like a lot for the servers to keep up with having everyone come in at once.

We booked a dummy date of Sept 26, 2009, but will be changing it to something for 2010 maybe the Baltic sailing dates...I would love to do the WB TA.

Keep working on her Tiffany. I would love to do a TA but not sure I can get my Mom to go (she feels responsible since she babysits her great grandchild and his Mom is a school teacher so she can't get off).

Well, she has 2 years to find a sitter! :rotfl2:

I'm getting there with flying that far...I would LOVE to do that cruise, so I may just put aside my fear (well, to an extent) and just do it.

It would be fun if we could all go on that cruise together! It would be fun to spend time with your lovely family again, Tiffany.

You're so sweet! We would have a blast! I really enjoyed running into you guys so much. It's too bad we didn't get on Who Wants to be a Mouseketeer so we could help eachother out. :rotfl2: It was fun seeing Hadley and Marika win though.

So I was looking up the cost of flights to Spain...holy cow! They are expensive! But what an experience that would be to go to Spain and sail across the Atlantic. That would just be amazing...

I hope you can do this Amy (and Dave too) I was looking at the filght costs yesterday too. :scared1: We're still booking it and will see what the flights cost closer to 2010. I decided to look up the flights to Kona to reference how much they went up and my $700 flight is now over $2,000! :scared1: I can't imagine the airlines can keep the prices this high because who can afford them?

No one asked me my secret... So I didn't tell.

Inquiring minds want to know?

So we saw Julie et al many times on the cruise, but they were always so busy I didn't want to interrupt. Is anyone getting over the crud yet? I've been on antibiotics for 2 days now and I'm so sick of this that it's snot funny! :rotfl:

Rhonda and I were delivering FE gifts in the hall while you were writing notes on the Message Boards. I can't believe the offender never returned Mickey and took your other magnet! How rude!

Hope you get feeling better. Doug has the crud too. He has lost his voice. It's so funny to hear him talk. He sounds like a teenage boy! :rotfl2:

I'm glad to hear families are making it home safe. I'm still dealing with Post Cruise Depression. I think once we get the WB TA booked and I have something to plan I will be OK. :lmao:

Happy Belated Birthday to Kimberly and Amy! I'm sorry I missed saying it on the ship!

Have a great day everyone!

Tiffany

The cruise was awesome thanks to the mouse. We were fortunate enough to be concierge guests. DCL was very generous to us, everyday there were special gifts left in our stateroom. I was able to book Palo with 13 of my DIS friends or at a moments notice. We were treated to a bridge tour on a sea day. The BEST part... I've been asked to spend the night on CC. That's my secret!:cool1:

Oh, wait, I don't care! I'm back on dry land:sad2:

Wow...I must ask now that I know your secret, how did you get asked to spend the night on CC? Inquiring minds want to know! :)

My daughter thought is was funny your dh was Gabriel and she was Gabrielle :) is your middle name Ann? :lmao:

Nope Lynn...but they both end in NN :lmao:

Boy we may have a real group on that 2010 Westbound - DH has given the okay to look into it as well - in fact, he was like can we book with the 50% deposit :confused3

I'm still working on hubby for this one...he's stopping at the cost of the flights. We will do a cruise in 2010 but it probably won't be one of the European ones *sigh* no language lessons for me I guess.

Ohhh I'm SOOOOO jealous!!! Hmmm since it doesn't look like we will be doing a European curise maybe I can get Gabe to bump up our next one to concierge level so we can enjoy these benefits........
